Rick Ross is laughing in the face of mortal danger – stepping out in L.A. Thursday with a big smile and a fat cigar – oblivious to the fact that someone may be trying to kill him. You may recall – Ross crashed his Rolls-Royce in Ft. Lauderdale January 28, after someone fired dozens of shots at his car. Ross and his passenger weren’t hurt- but it’s pretty obvious someone’s got it out for him- possibly a gang. When this picture of Ross leaving a Beverly Hills restaurant was shot, he made it very clear he has no fear. It’s the first time Ross has been seen out in public since the day of the shooting.

In this no-holds-barred interactive session with some journalists, OGD gave a blow-by-blow account of his roles in all sensitive matters threatening his public image. Excerpts:
The government of Ogun State recently announced that you accumulated hundreds of billions of naira debt before your administration left office. What is your position on that?

Study: Diet soda increases the risk of diabetes. Stop Drinking This Thing !!!!
Here's an article I found online a few days ago. Might be useful info for some of us. See it below...
Yet another study confirms what people have been saying for ages: Stop drinking diet soda. Like, right now. Drinking just one 12-ounce can of an artificially sweetened fizzy drink per week can increase your risk of Type 2 diabetes by 33 percent, French researchers found, and given that most people don't stop at a single weekly serving, your real risk for diabetes could actually be much higher.
Somebody or Nobody - by Adaobi Nwaubani
In Nigeria, you're either somebody or nobody? Please read the article and tell us what you think. Written by journalist and author Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani
In America, all men are believed to be created equal and endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights. But Nigerians are brought up to believe that our society consists of higher and lesser beings. Some are born to own and enjoy, while others are born to toil and endure.
The earliest indoctrination many of us have to this mind-set happens at home. Throughout my childhood, “househelps” – usually teenagers from poor families – came to live with my family, sometimes up to three or four of them at a time. In exchange for scrubbing, laundering, cooking, baby-sitting and everything else that brawn could accomplish, either they were sent to school, or their parents were sent regular cash.

The Lagos State Coordinator, Federal Concerned Pensioners, Mr. David Adodo, stated this in interview with our correspondent in Lagos. He said the affected pensioners had either been seriously underpaid, or totally denied their pensions since November last year.
This is coming barely a week after about 50 federal pensioners in Abuja protested against what they described as unholy manner with which the OHCSF was interfering in their pensions.

Photo: Saudis Outraged Because Beheading Taking ‘Way Too Long’
The Saudi Arabian government has come under attack from its citizens for taking eight whole years to behead a convicted woman, local media reports. Numerous eye-witnesses accounts describe unruly mobs shouting, “Off with her head,” “Death to the United States” and “Let’s go, Mets,” following the announcement of the long-anticipated beheading of a Saudi Arabian woman.
Laila Hafiz was sentenced to death by beheading in 2005 after her Saudi employer accused her of cutting off his own head. The man’s completely uncorroborated, seemingly impossible claim was accepted by Saudi court as bulletproof evidence when he said, “An eye for an eye, a head for a head,” although Miss Hafiz claimed innocence by pointing to her accuser’s full, unharmed head from which he was speaking. Despite this witch-like trickery, it took almost eight years for the death sentence come to realization, irking many in the Saudi general public who have cried out for justice.
