I was reviewing this article, initially titled “Ungodly Prayers,” when the Lord suddenly spoke.  He said: “Femi, it is written, ‘my house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but they have made it a ‘den of thieves.’ The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” (Matthew 21:13; John 10:10). Immediately, I understood him.  Thieves and robbers now attend prayer-meetings where they steal, kill and destroy.

Photo : Residents Stone Suspected Robbers To Death In Lagos [JUNGLE JUSTICE]

Two unidentified persons were stoned to death in the Sabo, Yaba area of Lagos State after being apprehended by youths for allegedly robbing a resident of his phones.


Reportedly, the alleged robbers attacked a 79-year-old man, Pa Emmanuel Thomas, in his apartment around 4am on Saturday.

The elderly man said that the robbers beat up his guest and demanded that he gave them all his money.

I'm Not A thief , I Only Give Robbers Info – 28-Year-Old Man Opens up




A 28-year-old person, Nonso Egbuzobi, who had been caught by agents of Unique Anti-Robbery Squad within a robbery operation in Lagos State, has pleaded with the authorities to release  him, stating he was only an informant and not really a member of any robbery gang. Police authorities had claimed Egbuzobi and three others were element of a group that killed three policemen during an ATM robbery at an Entry Bank branch in Ayobo, Ipaja part of their state on Nov 20, 2013.

TERRIBLE: Armed Robbers Storm Alaba Market, Kill Many In Broad Day Light (Graphi*c Images)



 It was indeed a black Tuesday on the 5th of November, 2013 in Alaba International market when dare-devil armed robbers stormed the marketplace and killed innocent people. A young lady who had been conveying a sizable sum of money which belonged to her boss to the financial institution, with two mobile police officers was double crossed by armed robbers and shot several times. Among the police officers was also shot and the second one managed to flee with bullet injuries. As the robbers made to flee, they were interrupted, which made them shoot randomly killing innocent people.

Armed Robbers drove us to bank at night, forced us to withdraw cash with ATM cards –Robbery victim



Julius Adegun had on Saturday, September 21, 2013, boarded a commercial bus from Abule-Egba, on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expresssway, around 10.30pm. He was heading to Iyana-Ipaja but had no idea he had boarded the bus with a three-man gang of robbers. The events that unfolded later were to confound him because it was one he had never heard of.

“I had heard of robbers waylaying people after they had used the ATM before. I had even heard of people being ambushed immediately they were about to use the ATM and forced to withdraw certain amount of money by robbers. But I never imagined I would be a victim of this kind of robbery,” he said.

Two Female Suspected Robbers Get Lynched In Aba



Two female members of a robbery gang that had been terrorizing Iheorji axis of Aba in Abia State  area were lynched to death last weekend. DailySun reports that the angry residents of the area killed the two girls, whose robbery gang had been giving them sleepless nights.

According to a resident, who would not want his name in print, for fear of attacks, no night passed without armed robbers operating in their area for at times, up to three hours unchallenged.

“We don’t kill policemen except on special occasion", drama in Court as Notorious Robbers Beg for Amnesty



There was a mild drama at the office of the Lagos State Police Commissioner in Ikeja on Friday as three suspects, who were arrested by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, were paraded before the House Committee on Police Affairs.
The suspects, Abiodun Ogunjobi, aka Godogodo; Felix Sunday, aka K Money; and Nwanyim Uche; pleaded for amnesty.

Jungle Jungle : Lagos Angry Mob Sets Robbers Ablaze For Stealing Recharge Cards



An angry mob has set three suspected armed robbers ablaze in Ikotun, Lagos State.  PUNCH Metro learnt on Thursday that the robbers were set on fire on Wednesday evening, shortly after robbing a recharge card trader at Second Junction bus stop on Governor’s Road. Our correspondent, who visited the area, observed burnt tyres, carcass of a burnt motorcycle and some human flesh on the side of the road.
The recharge card trader, Ese Akporhono, who had a bandage on her head, told our correspondent that the robbers came to her shop posing as customers.  She said a few seconds later, the suspects pointed a gun at her and stolerecharge cards worth N400,000 before fleeing.

SHOCKING: Chaos As Robbers Escape Court After Death Sentence, Judge Pick Race



It was a chaotic scene on Monday at the Asaba High Court In Delta, when two armed0robbers escaped from the court immediately the judge sentenced them to death.
The men, who were found guilty of conspiracy and armed robbery were eventually re-arrested by two prison guards.  According to some court officials, immediately the judge announced the sentence, one of them, known as Elvis Agbofodo escaped and ran into a nearby church where the prison guard found him and shot him in the leg to keep him immobilized.
The other convict, Frank Okedema, ran in a different direction before he was apprehended by another prison guard with the aid of residents of the area.  Court proceedings were reportedly disrupted by the escape attempt as this caused the prison guards to start shooting sporadically. The judge, court officials, lawyers and other persons in the area ran for their lives to avoid being hit by flying bullets.

Robbers Strike 5 Days After Informing Residents



Armed robbers who wrote residents of New Oko Oba last Friday telling them to prepare for their visit carried out their threat five days later when they struck early on Wednesday morning 26 June, 2013, at Church Street, off Olaniyi Street, New Oko-Oba Lagos state, southwest Nigeria.


In the said letter, the robbers allegedly told the residents to prepare for their visit as they were coming for money, gold or blood.

After receiving the letter, the residents alerted the police and the Divisional Police Officer  (DPO), Adeyemi Adebowale, summoned an emergency meeting with members of the  Community Development Association (CDA) in his office to assure the residents of adequate security protection in the area.

Federal road in Kogi becomes Paradise for robbers, rapists ....




Abu Micheal, Chief Press Secretary to Kogi State deputy governor, looks at the hardship faced by people and commuters who ply Lokoja- Kabba-  egbe – Ilorin Road and stated the need for the Federal Government’s timely intervention to end the suffering of the people.
Bad roads are responsible for most of the accidents that happen on our roads. At the same time, bad roads hasten the process of tear and wear of various cars and impoverish the owners. Also, pothole infested roads are increasingly becoming the operational zones of criminals particularly, armed robbers.
This is true of the Obajana-Oshokoshoko-Kabba-Mopa-Isanlu-Egbe Road. This is a federal road that links most parts of the West Senatorial District to the rest part of Kogi State. It is also the fastest link between Kwara and Kogi states. The road is now in a deplorable state and it has also become a safe haven for armed bandits who now subject motorists plying the route to harrowing experiences.

Five Customers Feared Dead As Robbers Storm First Generation Bank In Delta, Cart Away Millions



Five persons were feared killed yesterday when an 11-man robbery gang attacked a first generation bank in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, and carting away unspecified amount of cash.It was learnt that the dare-devil robbers, armed to the teeth with sophisticated weapons, blew-up the bank vault.
According to eye witness accounts, the robbers shot sporadically into the air to scare bystanders away just as customers who were inside the banking hall doing transactions scampered for safety.he incident, which took place in the morning lasted for several minutes and the men of the underworld had a field day despite the fact that security operatives were stationed some few metres away at the Divisional Police Headquarters, Agbor.
Confirming the incident, State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Lucky Uyabeme, said the police command has intensified a full-scale manhunt for the fleeing robbers.

SEE How These Filling Station Armed Robbers Were Nabbed




If Sunday Ayogu and Kenneth Kingsley had known that their robbery operation could be botched, perhaps they would have experienced a rethink. Nevertheless they didn't and now they're cooling their heels in police custody. How made it happen happen?

Residents of Igboeze in Igbo Eze North Local Government Section of Enugu State were recently raised from their deep sleep by shouts of ‘Nyere m aka, Oye oshi'(Help! thief) from one of its residents.

The voice later turned out to be that of a filling station manager. On that fateful Wednesday, June 5, 2013, two suspected robbers stormed his residence and demanded for several he had. The suspects had scaled the fence of the home and forcefully gained entry into the main sitting room downstairs before they made their method to his bedroom where he was reportedly sleeping along with his wife and children.

Our own case is robbery with a human face, state robbers who rob with toy guns



Chidera Ekpundu, Tochukwu Nnamele and Uba Daniel were apprehended by the police on suspicion of being armed robbers. But while the trio agreed that they're robbers, they refused to be labelled as armed robbers. Why?

It absolutely was victory eventually for operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Enugu State recently if they apprehended three notorious suspected armed robbers who'd held their state by the jugular for a long time now. The suspects, Chidera Ekpundu, Tochukwu Nnamele and Uba Daniel were reportedly arrested after having a tipoff.

Investigations revealed that they had carried out group of robbery cases in the metropolis and surrounding towns and villages and have been declared wanted by the state's police command until their apprehension. These were arrested at Akpugo axis in Nkanu West part of the metropolis.

Riot at Anambra State University After Two Students Are Shot Dead By Robbers



There was riot in Igbariam campus in Anambra State University this morning. Heard things have died down a bit. According to unconfirmed reports which I am getting from students of the school, who are also sending in photos, armed robbers invaded the students' lodge last night to rob and they ended up shooting quite a few students. One student died last night, while another one who was shot died early this morning in the hospital.

Police Parade Seven Airport Robbers





The Lagos State Police Command today paraded seven suspected armed robbers said to have carried out the robbery attack on the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, last month.

A gang of armed robbers attacked the airport on 13 March, 2013, shot two policemen dead and made away with millions of dollars stolen from the Bureau De Change in the airport.
The police recovered from the suspects five AK 47 rifles, four dynamites, 64 AK 47 Magazines, all fully loaded with 30 rounds totaling 1,920 live ammunitions, Toyota Siena Space Bus, with registration number BDG 918 AG, two locally made pistols, two masks and several charms.

Armed robbers Write residents of Ijeshatedo Lagos notice



This our country eh! Armed robbers have now started writing notice letters to residents. First, it was the residents of Lambe area in Ogun state, now residents of Ronke street in Ijeshatedo in Lagos have also received a letter from armed robbers informing them of their plan to raid the area...soon!  Ronke streets residents said the letters were pasted on the gates of some buildings on the streets and it simply read: “We will pay you people a visit soon. Be prepared for us.”  The residents alerted the police in their area who told them not to panic and gave them a number to call if they suspect anything or anyone. The people who live on the street and its environ have employed the services of vigilante groups while some have started leaving the area.

Sokoto state yesterday was shocked as the picture of a DPO jumping a fence in fear of boko haram instead of confronting them was shown on the web . According to the blogospere, this happened in the police station close to Old Market in Sokoto State yesterday.  “At the sound of the armed robbers’ heavy guns, which was like bombs, the DPO and one of his men quickly escaped through the back of the station, thinking they were about to be attacked by the dreaded Boko Haram”

Police Arrest UBA Bank Robbers With Assorted Arms And Ammunition




Three suspects out of the 13-man armed robbery gang that attempted to rob an old generation bank in Ajao Estate, Lagos at the weekend have been arrested by the Lagos State police command.
Members of the state’s Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) arrested one 27-year-old Olubode Mudashiru, Gbenga Joseph, 48-years old, and 28-year-old Tunji Bamidele with assorted arms and ammunition.
SARS men, led by their commander, Mr. Abba Kyari, a Superintendent of police recovered three AK 47 rifles, nine AK 47 Magazines fully loaded and three locally made double barrel pistols.

Denrele Edun and family attacked by armed robbers at their home



Denrele Edun and his family were attacked by armed robbers around 3am early this morning at their family home in Ebute Metta, Yaba. Denrele, his sister, father, grandmother and cousins were all home when the 5 armed men broke into their home. They carted away property - grandma's jewellery, cash, phones, laptops, watches, gadgets and a brand new plasma screen - but thankfully no one was seriously injured. The insecurity in this country..
