Governor Suntai’s aides return to Nigeria after treatment in Germany





The Chief Security Officer and the Chief Details of Governor Danbaba Suntai of Taraba state have arrived Nigeria after successfully undergoing medical treatment in Germany following the October 25th plane crash. Governor Suntai and three of his aids sustained serious injuries in the plane crash and had to be flown abroad for urgent medical attention.  Governor Suntai and his ADC are still in a German hospital according to the Taraba state commissioner of Information, but says they recovering well and hopes they will be discharged in no distant time

The will of the late Ikemba Nnewi, Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, was on Friday presented to the family with his widow, Bianca, getting the lion’s share.The presentation by the Chief Registrar of the Enugu High Court, Mr Dennis Ekoh, was witnessed by Bianca, Mr Val Nwosu, Ojukwu’s first cousin, and Mr Mike Ejemba.

Pregnant Woman, Seven Others Die In Delta Road Crash




A pregnant woman and seven other persons have been confirmed dead in a road crash in Delta State. The accident occurred on the Asaba-Ibuzor Road on Thursday. The pregnant woman and the others were said to be traveling in a 14-seater Toyota Hiace Bus, which rammed into a tipper. Though details were sketchy as at press time, the Federal Road Safety Commission confirmed the incident.

Ex-Basketball Player, Chinedu Onyeuku, Shot Dead While Trying Robbing A Home





A former Nigerian national basketball player was shot dead in a botched burglary in Texas before Thanksgiving, it has been revealed. Chinedu Onyeuku, 29, was trying to break into a home in Plano on November 21 and was shot and killed by the homeowner, police say. Onyeuku had played for the Nigerian team that qualified for this summer’s Olympic Games in London.

The Minister of Labour, Chief Chukwuemeka Wogu, yesterday told Nigerian workers not to be worried over the call on the government by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, to cut the nation’s workforce by half to help sustain economy. Sanusi had argued that the country was spending too much money on a negligible percentage of the population to the detriment of the overwhelming majority.

Jonathan Set To Impose Anenih On PDP As BoT Chairman





President Goodluck Jonathan may have made up his mind to impose the reclusive former Minister of Works, Chief Tony Anenih, on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT). Anenih, who was on Monday summoned by the House of Representatives over the sum of N2.3 billion that was purportedly disbursed for an abandoned road project in Nassarawa State in 2006, was at the Presidential Villa on Thursday morning where he had a closed-door meeting with the President.
