We Did Not Feeeze any Church's Account-CBN

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)  Friday washed its hands off news making the rounds that it had ordered the freezing of bank accounts of some religious organisations over allegations of link with terrorists.

The bank explained in a statement posted on its website that in order to ensure that the provisions of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act (MLPA) of 2011 were enforced, all Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions (DNFBPs) were required to comply with the Know-Your-Customer (KYC) requirement whose deadline was recently extended to December 31, 2013.

The statement signed by the Director, Corporate Communications, CBN, Mr. Ugochukwu Okoroafor, pointed out that the only requirement for the KYC update was the presentation of evidence of registration, specifically, certificate of registration showing registration number with the Special Control Unit Against money Laundering (SCUML).

Nigeria May Not Meet 2020 Target, Says Usman

Hopes that Nigeria could be counted among the 20 developed economies in the world  by 2020 may have been dashed as the Minister of National Planning Commission, Dr. Shamsuddeen Usman, said the target may not be realised.
Usman disclosed this on Tuesday when he presented his scorecard to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee (NWC).
He blamed the crisis in the power sector on the more than 30 years of military in power.
The minister said when government started the documentation of vision 20:2020 in 2009 to be among the top 20 economies in the world, Nigeria was number 44, adding that if by 2020 the nation rises to number 25, he will be a proud man.

Judge enters not guilty plea for Aurora theater shooter James Holmes

A Colorado judge has entered a plea of not guilty on behalf of James Holmes, the former graduate student accused of killing 12 people and wounding dozens more in a shooting rampage inside a Colorado movie theater last summer.

Holmes' attorney told the court that he was not ready to enter a plea, but the judge entered a not guilty plea for him and said he could change the plea to not guilty by reason of insanity, reports the Associated Press.  Holmes sat silent, but alert, throughout the hearing, alternately appearing to look at the judge and stare into space.  Holmes, who is facing 166 counts, mostly of murder and manslaughter, has spent the past eight months behind bars. He was reportedly restrained in a psychiatric ward for several days during the fall out of fear he might harm himself.

Guys: 5 Ways To Know You Are Not Her MAIN Boyfriend

The following 5 signs are all giveaways that you’ve fallen into the “backup guy” trap. With a quick perusal of the list below, you should be in a good position to decipher when to continue your pursuit and when to walk away with your dignity intact.

1. She rarely return your calls

If a girl is attracted to you, she should be calling you at least once for every three times you call her. However, if you don’t hear from her for weeks or months at a time, and all of a sudden she wants to hang out, take it as she’s just bored or is between boyfriends and there’s no one else to call.

2. She regularly cancels at the last minute

It is certainly fair to cancel plans occasionally for a legitimate reason, but if she flakes on you consistently and doesn’t try to be flexible with her schedule to free up time for you, it shows that she holds little respect for you at and that she doesn't want to commit in case something better comes up.
