Should we pray to win or play to win?

In the game of life, there are 3 types of countries in the world: 1. the praying nations; 2. the playing nations; and 3. the praying-playing nations.  To which group do you think Nigeria belongs? Just wait a while; let us list the features of these groups. Members of the praying nations are countries where religious zealotry and intolerance run high. The citizens hide their laziness and cowardice under religion. They do little or nothing and leave everything to God to do. Consequently, corruption, killings, maladministration and poverty run high in these countries.

What Should I Do She Always Wants To Spend On Me

Hello,
Just wanna get some advice. Here is this girl I met some years back. Though she earn more than ♍ƺ but she never wanted ♍ƺ to spend a dime on her. I use to wonder why she should do that. As a man, I shouldn’t be at a receiving end; I felt I should be †ђξ one spending money on her. Most time I use to reject some of her offers like trying to pay my rent, giving ♍ƺ cash and all sort of gift items. What’s your advice: is it right to keep accepting these offers?

Farida Waziri Is A Beast, Obasanjo And Atiku Should Work Together To Bring Down Jonathan – Femi Fani-Kayode

I am glad that President Olusegun Obasanjo has finally described the former Chairman of the EFCC, Farida Waziri, for the beast that she has always been and that he has commended my brother Nuhu Ribadu for his excellent record of service to our country.

However I must say that I think that it is ill-advised for Baba to be attacking Abubakar Atiku at this point in time. Two months ago he fired a similar salvo at Bola Tinubu as
well which was again completely unecessary.

Why Okonjo-Iweala should resign now!

She was recently listed as one of the most powerful women in the world. Her name conjures up the image of an Amazon who symbolises excellence and the height of intellectual achievement. She is by no means a role model and a worthy example of the level Nigerian women can attain if given the opportunity to excel. There is also no doubt that the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, is one of Nigeria’s proud exports. One cannot but admire her simplicity and self-effacing demeanour. Personally, I am in awe of her spartan fashion style.

First ladies’ impunity should stop — Falana

Human rights lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mr. Femi Falana, in this interview with LEKE BAIYEWU, says the office of the First Lady is illegal and the roles of president/governors’ wives should be limited

W hat does the Nigerian constitution say about the office of the First Lady and what are the roles assigned to the occupant?
The post of the First Lady is not a creation of the constitution. In other words, there is no mention or reference to the post in the constitution or any other statute in the land. So, the question of assigning responsibilities to the office does not arise. In the first and second republics, there was no office of the First Lady. Even under successive military regimes up to the Muhammadu Buhari/Tunde Idiagbon era, the post was unknown. It was under the Gen. Ibrahim Babangida junta that the wife of the military president created the post, albeit illegally. There was no decree to back it up.

MESSAGE TO WOMEN: 4 List of Things you should do if your husband is cheating On You

Married women need to understand that whether or not their husband cheats is out of their control. The most that they can do is to cultivate the relationship with their husband, be the best person that they can be and know how to handle themselves if an affair does happen.
Seek Support
Discovering your spouse's infidelity can bring on a range of powerful emotions. Few people are equipped to deal with the heartache and devastation on their own. Seek out family and friends who can be supportive and nonjudgmental during this period. If you do not have a built-in support network, turn to your priest, minister or licensed therapist to help.
Talking about your feelings often helps to clarify the situation and put the affair into perspective. Before you can move on in whatever direction you choose to take, you must first fully understand that what happened is not your fault. In fact, it is possible that the affair had everything to do with your spouse and nothing at all to do with you.

Pretty Sad Love Story One Should Learn From!

Its a long one, but take your time to read it.
A Sad Love Story telling us not to be afraid of expressing our Feelings.
I have a boyfriend who grew up with me. His name is Vin. I always thought of him as a friend until last year when we went to a trip from a club. I found that I fell in love with him. Before that trip was over, I took a step and confessed my love for him. And soon, we became a pair of lovers, but we loved each other in different ways. I always concentrated on him only, but by his side, there were so many other girls. To me, he was the only one, but to him, maybe I was just another girl…
“Vin, do you want to go watch a movie?” I asked.
“I can’t”
“Why? You need to study at home?” I felt disappointment grabbing me.
“No… I am going to meet a friend…”

MEN: 13 Things You Should NEVER Say to Your Girlfriend, Under ANY Circumstance

A girl in love will do just about anything for her man, but there are 13 phrases to never say to your girl unless you’re looking for trouble.
“Have You Gained a Little Weight?”
Even if she was super skinny before, never tell her she has gained weight. Trust me, she knows if she has gained weight and this will come across as telling her she’s “fat.” It doesn’t matter if the weight gain is good and makes her look healthier, this is just a phrase you never say. Is she gaining weight due to depression or are you worried about her health? Then you need to address the root cause of the problem – and her weight will not be the problem. You can address her sadness, her food addiction, her lack of exercising by offering to go on a healthy lifestyle plan with her; but do not tell her she looks fat!
“My Mother Does It Like This …”
Your girlfriend is not your mother and all she will hear when you say this phrase is: “You’re not good enough.” Your mom may be the most wonderful woman in the world, but you don’t want to create a battle line between the two most important girls in your life. We like that your mom is your role model, but we were raised a little differently and we want to know that you think we’re OK just the way we are.

‘Dokubo-Asari Should Learn From Civil War’

Alhaji Gambo Ibrahim Gujungu, the National President of the Kaduna-based Arewa Youth Forum (AYF), in this interview with Regional Editor Northwest,  Hassan Ibrahim, expresses dismay at the recent comments (Click Here to watch If you missed it) by Mujahid Dukobo-Asari, leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force (NDPVF), that there will be crisis if  the Goodluck Jonathan presidency did not continue in  2015. Excerpts:

Dokubo-Asari recently threatened to ensure that Nigeria will no longer know peace if President Goodluck Jonathan is not returned as president in 2015. What is your take on this?

Ordinarily, we wouldn’t have taken issue with Dokubo, but it seems that silence is no longer golden. Looking at his antecedent as a militant, during the amnesty programme in Niger Delta and after he was granted amnesty by late President Umaru Yar’Adua, we have come to the conclusion that he is not somebody that should be taken seriously in the Nigerian polity.

1990 coup: Jonathan should grant Gideon Okar state pardon – JT Orkar

Dr. Joseph Targema Orkar is the elder brother of late Major Gideon Orkar, who led a coup to overthrow the former military President, Ibrahim Babangida in 1990. In this interview with HENRY IYORKHASE in Makurdi, he calls for a revolution in Nigeria, saying it is the only way to regain the lost values and vision of the nation’s founding fathers. Excerpts:
Would you say the courage of your late brother, Major Gideon Orkar, executed 23 years ago for attempting to overthrow former Military President, Ibrahim Babangida, runs in the family?
First, I want to correct the impression that late Major Gideon was my immediate younger brother. He was the fourth after me. There were three others before him. Generally, we are an upright family and that was the way we were brought up by our late father. Late Gideon followed the family tradition – fearlessness and forthrightness, coupled with the characteristics he acquired in the military.

Check Out safe s-éx reminders every girl should know

Think you're having safe s-éx? Think again. You might be at risk even if you're using condóms, taking birth control pills—or even not having intercourse at all.
Lauren Streicher, MD, an assistant clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, issues nine safe s-éx reminders.
Anál Instead of Vaginal
Quite a few Cosmo girls have told us they're not into anál, but for any ladies who try to avoid pregnancy by having án-al s-éx: If you're not using a cóndom, you're still leaving yourself open to STDs. (So, use a condóm.)

JAMBS should be labelled terrorists — Ekhomu

In this interview with ALLWELL OKPI, the President of Association of Industrial Security and Safety Operators of Nigeria, Dr. Ona Ekhomu, said JAMBS’s latest act has taken terrorism to another level
JAMBS claimed it has executed the seven foreign hostages it kidnapped in Bauchi. What are the implications of this?
I don’t have independent verification of this news except for what the terrorists have said and posted on the Internet. But if they have actually killed the foreign hostages as they have claimed, then it means terrorism in Nigeria is going to another level.
Do you think group is becoming more dangerous than Boko Haram?
