‘Terrorists are not Muslims, but tribalists" - Prophet Kayode

General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church, Prophet Kayode Abiara, has dissociated Islam from the insecurity and terrorism bedevilling the country. He spoke at a press conference in Lagos on Saturday in the wake of recent terror attacks that claimed the lives of no fewer than 29 pupils in Yobe and 10 Ibadan traders killed in Mongunu, Borno State last week. Abiara said there were many “good, accommodating and charitable Muslims”, both from the northern and southern parts of Nigeria.

He said, “Based on my friendly relationship with them, I refuse to acknowledge that Islam breeds terrorists. It is a religion that preaches peace, charity and tolerance. I admonish Nigerians not to blame the insecurity in the country on Muslims indiscriminately.” Abiara blamed the attacks on the sect, who he said, were tribalistic rather than religious. He said, “Maybe they killed the traders because they don’t like Yoruba people.”

US and UK intelligence regarded G20 leaders as potential terrorists

While the U.S. government keeps on insisting that the surveillance program was a limited one and designed to protect the United States and other countries from terrorist and other threats, new leaks reveal that the U.S. and U.K. intelligence services eavesdropped on world leaders at conferences in London in 2009. This included setting up fake internet cafés in order to intercept foreign delegates' emails as well as tapping the phones. The eavesdropping program was not limited to potential adversaries, but included the U.S. and U.K.'s allies as well.

A U.S. government paper released on Sunday states that among millions of phone and email records collected by the National Security Agency (NSA) in 2012, only fewer than 300 phone numbers were really searched in order to obtain detailed information.

The Senate President David Mark warned, Sunday, that unless everybody comes together to tackle the security challenge, the perpetrators might over run the country.

The Senate President who expressed grave concern over the continued killings and wanton destruction of property in the country argued that foreigners who might be accused of being sponsors of members Boko Haram sect currently terrorising some parts of the country would not succeed if Nigerians were not involved internally as willing tools for the deadly act.

JAMBS should be labelled terrorists — Ekhomu

In this interview with ALLWELL OKPI, the President of Association of Industrial Security and Safety Operators of Nigeria, Dr. Ona Ekhomu, said JAMBS’s latest act has taken terrorism to another level
JAMBS claimed it has executed the seven foreign hostages it kidnapped in Bauchi. What are the implications of this?
I don’t have independent verification of this news except for what the terrorists have said and posted on the Internet. But if they have actually killed the foreign hostages as they have claimed, then it means terrorism in Nigeria is going to another level.
Do you think group is becoming more dangerous than Boko Haram?
