Actress Nkiru Sylvanus Kidnapped In Imo State !!!Kidnappers asking for ₦100 Million

Got word this afternoon from friends of popular actress and Imo State SA on public affairs, Ms Nkiru Sylvanus, that she was kidnapped in owerri this morning. Nkiru was last seen on the set of a movie last night in Owerri. The kidnappers took her early this morning and have already made contact with her family. They are asking for N100million. Opa Williams undergoes successful Surgery in India

A week after disclosing on his Facebook page that he was off to India for surgery, Nollywood producer and director Opa Williams has undergone successful surgery...for an undisclosed ailment. Opa's media reps said this weekend that the founder of Nite of a Thousand Laughs is hale and hearty and the doctors in India have given him a clean bill of health. He is expected back in Nigeria sometime this week.

According to a Muslim youth in kaduna,Mr Nazeer,he said that some Christians openly celebrated and jubilate the death of Yaradua, the same way We Muslims are now doing on Yakowa's death.


No single Nigerian celebrated Yar'dua's death in any form, either by a Christian or Muslim. The Time Yar'dua was the Nigerian President, no one bothered where he was a Christian or Muslim. The Religion issue is only a device used by Old and out-of-date Politicians to divide the common man to their advantage.

Bayelsa Helicopter Crash Victims Identified.

The names of people that lost their lives in the Nigerian Navy chopper crash with Governor Yakowa and Gen Azazi has been released.

The names victims made available to includes:
1] Dauda Tsoho (aide to Governor Patrick Yakowa of Kaduna).
2] Warrant Officer Mohammed Kamal, (aide to Owoye Azazi).
3] Commander Muritala Mohammed Daba (the Pilot).
4] Lt. Adeyemi O. Sowole.

The National headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party has confirmed the death of Governor Patrick Yakowa.  Below is full text of the statement.   “The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed utter shock and devastating grief at the news of the death of the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Mr. Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa and other prominent Nigerians, including the former National Security Adviser, General Owoye Azazi in a helicopter crash today. ” Our great Party is shocked beyond imagination and no words can adequately give expression to the depth of our grief. What a colossal loss! “

Clinton Is Recovering From a Concussion

Hilary Clinton faints, suffers concussion

Hilary Clinton faints, US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has suffered a concussion after fainting, the State Department said on Saturday, December 15, 2012. The 65-year-old, who skipped an overseas trip this past week because of a stomach virus, was recovering at home after the incident last week and is being monitored by doctors, according to a statement by aide Philippe Reines.  The State Department said Clinton was dehydrated because of the virus, fainted and sustained a concussion. She will continue to work from home in the week ahead and looks forward to returning to the office ‘soon’ the statement said.

Hilary is married to former US president Bill Clinton.

Jonathan is my president but I won’t keep quiet — Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday in Abeokuta said he had no problem with President Goodluck Jonathan as being speculated in some quarters. Obasanjo however said he would not allow himself to be prevented by anyone from discussing pressing national issues and party affairs. The former president said this when the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, paid him a visit at his Hilltop Country Home in Abeokuta. Obasanjo told Tukur that his passion, patriotism and love for the country would not allow him to remain silent on burning national issues.

Alhaji Mukhtar Ramalan Yero (44), is the Kaduna State Governor-in-waiting. He is an Accountant and was a Commissioner of Finance in Kaduna state till May 2010. Born May 1, 1968 in Zaria, Alhaji Mukhtar Yero, had his primary school education at LEA Kaura in Zaria City between 1974 to 1980 and went to Government Secondary School, Ikara from 1980 to 1985. He completed his secondary school education at GovernmentDay Secondary School, Zaria in 1986.

Timi Dakolo and wife escape Bayelsa helicopter crash

2007 West African Idol winner Timi Dakolo and his wife Busola have a lot to be thankful for. It has emerged that the couple who attended Oronto Douglas' father's burial in Bayelsa today, were meant to fly on the same military chopper that claimed the lives of Governor Yakowa, Gen Azazi and others, but Timi decided at the very last minute to travel by road and not fly.

FG Skips Planned Refinery Projects - Jonathan Must Tackle Fuel Subsidy Corruption–Labour

Eleven months after promising to build three new refineries for the country, the Federal Government may have dumped the plan. Saturday PUNCH investigations showed that the FG may have dropped the idea because of the unresolved issue of deregulation of the downstream sector of the petroleum industry.
This development came to the fore as organised labour expressed surprise at President Goodluck Jonathan’s N161bn supplementary budget on fuel subsidy for 2012.
