Benin City’s Ritual Market - A MUST READ

Relics of normal life in time past are much sought after in sacrificial preparations. Some of these objects and materials, to the uninitiated, are very hard to come by.

To the uninitiated, seeing a tortoise could probably be at the zoo, but for those who indulge in sacrificial practices, they know where exactly to go, they know the right market and they know the right people to call on. The traditional Oliha and Ekiosa markets in Benin City are the right places to go if one needs those rare animals, native chalks, coins and several other materials which have spent over two hundred years.

Pastor Wale Ojo recounts his shocking experience on the Associated Airline plane which crashed (Must Read)

A close friend of mine told me his experience on that same plane which crashed . The Agagu family claims that the plane was in a bad state and that Feyi Agagu almost didn't want to board the plane after seeing it's condition Coincidentally I just found this real-life experience written by  Pastor Wale Ojo on his facebook wall with the title"The crashed plane and my plain experience
It was in February, 2012. A Revival in Port-Harcourt and a quick visit to two friends of mine in Abuja surged me to journey home. In twenty-four years I had not seen Tony Akhiotu, now Managing Director, DAAR Communication. Nothing of course would be wrong to say hello to him as he was expecting me. The Adebayos too, (Wole & Anita) extended to me a warm invite to visit their place. The choice was no longer mine; I had to see my friends in the capital of Nigeria, that’s what friends are for. A table had been prepared before me in the presence of my friends.

How we managed to survive the plane crash -Feyi Agagu (Must Read)

 An in depth family friend of Feyi, son of late Chief Agagu, who's among the survivors of the ill fated Associated Airlines flight, told Vanguard that he (Feyi) was reluctant to enter the plane after seeing how old it looked. (The exact plane pictured right). He and others survived basically by sitting at the rear of the plane. Below is what an insider said;

PDP Or APC; Nigeria Must Progress

There are various write ups flying in the air, it baffles me when parties are challenging each other unnecessarily just to make one look inferior than the other. Can't we just be matured in our thinking and handle issues appropriately?

Adoyi Ali said and I quote in an article titled Why APC will fail:
"Nigerians at different quarters have said that they need straight forward leaders who spell it out exactly the way it is. Nigerians need leaders who mean well for the country and definitely not leaders that pick on very flimsy issues as criticisms against its own government."

The Story of OBJ and Atiku Abubakar ( Must Read)

Culled From Vanguard Nigeria
This is the story of how former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, first met, and how their relationship blossomed before nose-diving over political ambition. In his soon-to-be released auto-biography, ATIKU ABUBAKAR, THE STORY OF MY LIFE, it is discovered that whereas Obasanjo appointed Atiku as his running mate in 1999, there are pieces of information before that fact to suggest that the former may indeed be indebted to the latter.

Jonathan Must Be Defeated In 2015 —Gani’s Wife

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is an “outright failure” and should be defeated in the 2015 election, Ganiyat Fawehinmi said in a statement on Wednesday as she assessed the country’s challenges.
“Our present Federal Government led by Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is an outright failure and we pray that by 2015, he will not return,” said Ganiyat, wife of the late Senior Advocate of Nigeria and radical lawyer, Gani Fawehinmi.
She said at no time in the history of Nigeria had the country been steamrolled by so many disasters, loss of lives and unprecedented mishaps as being witnessed now.

Why We Must Rally Round Amaechi – Tinubu

Leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN , Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu has urged support for Governor Chibuke Amaechi of Rivers State from the hierarchy of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who he claimed, have added public brawling to their achievements.

In a statement issued by his media office last night, Tinubu described the ensuing crisis in Rivers State as an orchestrated plan that is in line with the PDP’s definition of democracy where minority opinion prevails over majority. He thus warned that Nigerians must rally round the embattled governor and chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, NGF, to ensure that democracy is not re-defined.

He cited the recent election for the chairman of the NGF and the quest of five members of the Rivers State legislature to dominate the others as illustrations of how far the PDP would go to achieve its aims even against reason.

Rivers Crisis: Masses Pour Onto The Street • Demonstrators must be orderly –Police

N’Assembly to reject emergency rule

Organised labour and civil society groups are planning a showdown with the Federal Government should the crisis in Rivers State remain intractable.
The groups told our correspondents on Saturday that the mass action had become necessary because of the breakdown of law and order in the state which was threatening the nation’s democracy.
Even though the Presidency has washed its hands off the crisis in the state, there have been reports that President Goodluck Jonathan, his wife, Patience, and their loyalists are behind the crisis rocking the Rivers State House of Assembly.
A civil rights group, Anti-Corruption Network, on Saturday threatened that the Presidency should prepare for the “Egyptian treatment.”

Nigeria Must Arrest Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir In Abuja – Human Rights Watch Group

Human Rights Watch on Saturday urged Nigeria to arrest Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir if he attends an African AIDS summit scheduled for Abuja, the Nigerian capital next week.

The arrest should be made, if the Nigerian government fails to stop al-Bashir from staying away at the conference, HRW said.

Nigeria is a member of the International Criminal Court which has charged Bashir with war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity over the conflict in Sudan’s Darfur region.

Khartoum confirmed that Bashir has been invited to the Nigerian capital, which is hosting an African Union HIV/AIDS summit that opens Monday.

RIVERS VIOLENCE: Jonathan Must Be Impeached - ACN

The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) has heaped the blame for the ongoing crisis in Rivers State on President Goodluck Jonathan and asked the National Assembly to immediately commence impeachment proceedings against him, for failing to live up to his oath of office to uphold the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In a statement issued in Lagos on Wednesday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said by Jonathan’s abhorrence of the rule of law and majority rule, the latest indication of which is his unmistakable support for a group of renegade lawmakers who are fomenting trouble in Rivers State, the President has become a clear and present danger to the country’s democracy, and must be shown the way out in accordance with the Constitution.

Q&A: 10 UNBELIEVABLE Things That Can Spoil Your Fast - Hnmnm

well this is to all friend that will be fasting shortl...check it out
THINGS WHICH SPOIL FAST

Q. 1: Will fast be spoilt by chewing "Paan" or tobacco?
A. Fast is spoilt by every that thing which is eaten or drunk and so is the case with the chewing of "Paan" (betel leaf) or tobacco even though its spittle is spewed, for, its tiny pieces definitely reach up to the throat. Similarly, putting such thing in the mouth that melts like sugar will also spoil the fast if the fasting man swallows the spittle so sweetened.

SEE How This Man Defused This Bomb On A Suicide Bomber [LOOK]

A member of the Afghan bomb disposal unit approaches a suicide attacker after his vest was defused in Jalalabad province on Sunday.

 Not this time.
An Afghan bomb technician played peacemaker Sunday, donning a heavily armored suit to diffuse a would-be suicide bomber's vest. The risky maneuver, gone Hollywood in the Oscar-winning drama "The Hurt Locker," required a deft touch — and a willingness to go face-to-face with powerful explosives.
Sunday's bomber in Jalalabad attempted to detonate his device before being apprehended and hog-tied. Then, the Afghan soldier, clad in a padded suit topped with a large helmet, approached the subdued terrorist and disabled the device. A photo after the all-clear was given shows the would-be bomber, clad in brown pants and shirt, lying on the ground next to a rifle and three grenades. A red wire is shown threaded through the vest, its three pouches filled with explosives.

Patience Jonathan’s Excesses Must Be Curbed - Report

A report written by Punch Editorial Board
Each time the wife of the President, Patience Jonathan, hits the road with her long motorcade, including bulletproof and bombproof limousines, or is having a whale of a time at an event, drivers and commuters who find themselves on her routes always have to live with the bitter experience of the encounter. As police empty the roads of traffic, forcing drivers to wait as her glamorous convoy drifts by, motorists are trapped in traffic for hours on end, while social and economic life of the affected community is brought to a halt abruptly.
The recent visit of Mrs. Jonathan to Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, in which her security details forcibly grounded the movement of residents, is the latest of such excesses that Nigerians have been forced to endure for the past three years. This impunity must stop.

Acording to newspaper reports, Mrs. Jonathan’s security arrangement paralysed activities in the Port Harcourt Government Reservation Area for the four days of her visit. Armoured personnel carriers were deployed at two points, while gun-wielding operatives manned the points leading to her private residence. Many people missed their appointments because they were prevented from moving in and out of their houses.

Nigeria must Arrest and prosecute IBB, Obasanjo – Opadokun ( Do You Agree ?)

Former Secretary of the pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, and Publicity Secretary of the National Democratic Coalition, Chief Ayo Opadokun, in this interview with LEKE BAIYEWU, explains the national mistakes in June 12 and the danger ex-military chiefs pose to Nigeria’s democratic system

Have you ever been worried that June 12, is being celebrated annually only in the South-West?
A significant number of those who have succeeded in capturing power – those who were military apologists, con-federates, sympathisers and friends – will not understand where the shoe is pinching ordinary Nigerians, since they did not participate in the various campaigns that the National Democratic Coalition established. They got into political offices through influence peddling and commercialisation of the Nigerian political landscape. They have failed to show a modicum of etiquette and attitude to those who made it possible for the restoration that took place in 1999.

You Can't Go Anywhere! Chocolate City Says Brymo Must Pay Their Money

The sensational 'porting' of Brymo, the ARA crooner, from Chocolate City is set to be the latest controversy in the entertainment in Nigeria. The guy said he's moving on but the record label said no way!

Brymo even confirmed his exit from Chocolate city on Twitter but an inside source told OluFamous.Com the singer can't go anywhere. He must deliver the money that was spent on him...

My source said Brymo must deliver two solid albums in the next three years for Chocolate City otherwise he will be slammed with a heavy law suit with would cost a lot as a 'struggling' artiste.

The reason for their quarrel leading to his decision to dump the record label is still been kept under the raps but My source said it has to do with money. He wanted more money but he has not justified it.

See Bromy's Tweet below confirming he has left Chocolate City:

So many man of God have come and gone, they have all spoken in a tongue that we all understand which is God has rejected Nigeria hence the calamities that are befalling the nation daily.
One of the men who claimed to have heard from God has exclusively revealed to Nigeriafilms that God told him that Goodluck Jonathan, President of Nigeria is placed there by Him and no man can remove him.  The clergyman also said that God instructed him to warn Nigerians against raining curses or judging their leaders.
