Check Out Why Patience shunned Amaechi’s deputy in P’Harcourt

WIFE of the President, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, has said that the refusal of senior officials of the Rivers State Government to pay her a condolence visit when she lost her foster mother was the reason why she shunned the state Deputy Governor, Mr. Tele Ikuru, at the Port Harcourt airport.

She said despite the fact that several groups and individuals from across the country came to commiserate with her, she did not receive any delegation from Rivers State. Mrs. Jonathan said this in a statement by her spokesman,  Mrs. Ayo Adesugba.

WOW!! Patrick Obahiagbon REPLIES Patience Jonathan

Many people have been speaking their mind with regards to the connection of First Lady Patience Jonathan to some of the principal actors in the crisis threatening to bring Rivers State to its kneels. But one man has been watching with keen interest as the drama unfolds until now.
Patrick Obahiagbon, we  observed, has finally broken his silence on the raging controversy. See his message to our dear Patience Jonathan below:  "Is the malodorous excrescence in Rivers State, cascadingly oozing out from erebus Dame, all about the satiation of a megalomaniacal presidential termagant?
"Let someone assist me in whispering to the Dame that 'Alagamus Paret Ai Ai Num, Ai Ai Num Cest Daret, Opotere Alagamus'."But who is going to help us whisper this kind BIG grammar to the mama of the nation nau? Lolz!! -

'Dame Patience, our president’s darling wife' - an opinion By Reuben Abati In 2010 (Must Read)

Culled from Sahara REporters

I am sure you all know that before Reuben Abati became President Jonathan's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity in 2011, he was a newspaper columnist and the chairman of the editorial board of the Guardian Newspaper (2001 to 2011). Well, here's a 2010 article he wrote about the wife of his current boss...Dame Patience Jonathan, before his appointment. Very interesting read.
Democracy is readily associated with freedom: the freedom to be free in many respects and increasingly in Nigeria, many of our compatriots, particularly persons in positions of privilege and authority confuse this with the right to be disagreeable. The sober truth is that democracy is about rights and responsibilities, a democratic dispensation therefore cannot be a licence for disagreeable conduct as a norm; just as the possession of power in any form does not guarantee the right to be reckless or to ignore the etiquette required of office holders. Anyone in the corridors of power, either by chance or right, or appointment, is expected to behave decorously.
Dame Patience Jonathan, as she is now referred to, our President’s wife, failed the test this week in Okrika, Rivers State.

Why I’m Angry With Amaechi – Patience Jonathan

For the first time, wife of President Goodluck Jonathan, Patience, gave an indication that she might be behind the crisis rocking Rivers State at the moment as she opened up on a plethora of grudges she is nursing against the state governor, Rotimi Amaechi.

She said her "fight" with Governor Amaechi started four years ago:  Mrs. Jonathan spoke in Abuja on Wednesday during a courtesy visit to the Presidential Villa by 16 bishops from the South-South geo-political zone.

She said, “Rivers state issue is one thing I’ve committed to prayer because I believe there is nothing God cannot do. God restored me and I’ll do his work without the fear of man.  “The truth will always remain the truth and what God ordains must come to pass and so Rivers issue is something we’ve handed over to God.’’

Patience Jonathan opens up on rift with Amaechi

Contrary to her earlier denials of involvement in the political crisis rocking Rivers State, wife of   President Goodluck  Jonathan,  Patience,  on Wednesday opened up on the  matter.
She told 16 bishops from the South-South, who visited her at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, that her misunderstanding with Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, started about four years ago in Anyugubiri in Okrika when she appealed to him  to engage  her people in dialogue instead of  demolishing  a part of their community.
Mrs. Jonathan  said the governor, whom she described as   “hot tempered,” did not only ignore her advice,  he went  a step further  by  sacking the chairman of  the  local government for holding a reception in her honour.
According to her, Amaechi did not only stop at those, he imposed a   curfew on the community, which is where she hails from.

Patience Jonathan's Thug and Evans Bipi in Aso Rock

Rivers State Commissioner for Information, Ibim Semenitari has revealed that the Minister of Education (state) Nyesom “Wike had boasted after the failed impeachment attempt at the Rivers State House of Assembly that he would set Rivers State ablaze and render it ungovernable.”

Anyway, the man who said he is fighting Governor Rotimi Amaechi because he insulted his "Jesus Christ" was on Monday night spotted in Aso Rock Presidential villa.

But what did Evans Bipi go there to do?
It seems the Presidency is looking for a means to give credibility to Hon Bipi as "fake" Speaker of the House of Assembly in Rivers State, just like they are doing with Gov Jonah Jang who lost an election.

Armored Personnel Carrier Deployed To Guard Patience Jonathan’s Guest House In Bayelsa

A few days after the Goodluck Jonathan administration withdrew operatives of the Joint Task Force assigned to protect Government House in Rivers State, SaharaReporters has learnt that the president’s wife, Patience Jonathan, is using soldiers to guard her private guest house in Yenogoa, the capital of Bayelsa State.

Earlier this week, the Presidency ordered the withdrawal of JTF operatives guarding the official residence of Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as a political feud between the governor, on the one hand, and President Jonathan and his wife, on the other, intensified. There was chaos in the chambers of the Rivers State legislature as four state law makers tied to the president and First Lady attempted, but failed, to impeach the speaker. In the aftermath of a bloody confrontation, the Jonathan administration pulled Mr. Amaechi’s security apparatus, which is controlled by the Federal Government.

Patience Jonathan’s Excesses Must Be Curbed - Report

A report written by Punch Editorial Board
Each time the wife of the President, Patience Jonathan, hits the road with her long motorcade, including bulletproof and bombproof limousines, or is having a whale of a time at an event, drivers and commuters who find themselves on her routes always have to live with the bitter experience of the encounter. As police empty the roads of traffic, forcing drivers to wait as her glamorous convoy drifts by, motorists are trapped in traffic for hours on end, while social and economic life of the affected community is brought to a halt abruptly.
The recent visit of Mrs. Jonathan to Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, in which her security details forcibly grounded the movement of residents, is the latest of such excesses that Nigerians have been forced to endure for the past three years. This impunity must stop.

Acording to newspaper reports, Mrs. Jonathan’s security arrangement paralysed activities in the Port Harcourt Government Reservation Area for the four days of her visit. Armoured personnel carriers were deployed at two points, while gun-wielding operatives manned the points leading to her private residence. Many people missed their appointments because they were prevented from moving in and out of their houses.

Political Critic Junaid Muhammad Blasts Illiterate Patience Jonathan over the recent crisis in PDP

Popular political critic, Junaid Mohammad has shown concern over the recent crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) warning that they are soon going to cause a major security crisis in Rivers State. In a today’s press release in Kano, Dr. Muhammad said Rivers “coming to the limelight because of the irresponsible, unconstitutional and bizarre, illiterate actions, of the so called first lady Mrs. Patience Jonathan, who hails from the island village of Okrika in Rivers State and who sees not only Okrika but the whole of Rivers States, as her personal domain to exploit, abuse and destabilize as she sees fit because her husband Jonathan happens to be the president.”

He also noted that the constitution has no place for the post of the First Lady and confers no rights, privileges or responsibilities on the wife of our leaders “It is therefore illegal and completely ultra vires the constitution for any citizen, president or his spouse to usurp executive powers, and go about throwing their weight, as if they were legally recognized holders of such offices according to the law,” he warned. “ As at the time of writing, the commissioner of police in Rivers, his command structure and other security services are at the command of Patience Jonathan, and by her and presidential orders, most security facilities due governor, the speaker and others so entitled, have been withdrawn. Mean-while professional thugs and all manner of criminals are being recruited and pressed into service to destabilize the elected government of Rivers State.”

PATIENCE JONATHAN: GREED, CORRUPTION AND UNBRIDLED AMBITION

Why spend five hundred million naira on a thanksgiving party? Why allocate 4 billion naira to a white elephant project in Abuja. Why lobby, and then accept the Permanent Secretary position in the Bayelsa State civil service when you knew you were not qualified for such an appointment? Why engage in a public quarrel with your predecessor over a public land deal in Abuja? Why lie to the nation about your medical condition and secret treatments overseas. Why the bombastic statements, and the supercilious attitude? What’s the immoderations that have come to define you?” The questions are almost endless. But this has been the ways of Patience Faka -- the wife of President Goodluck Jonathan.
