Armed Robbers Arrested In Ondo And You Won't Believe The Reasons They Gave For The Criminal Act



Residents of Akure town in Ondo State recently heaved a sigh of relief after the Anti-Robbery Squad of the Ondo State Police Command arrested several armed robbery suspects who had been snatching vehicles and dispossessing their victims of other valuables.  Among the suspects currently undergoing interrogation at the SARS office are Tobechukwu Aguonu a.k.a. Alhaji Seriki Thunder and Uche Igwe. It was gathered that the two suspects, along with one Chinedu (surname unknown) invaded the premises of their latest victim’s house at about 11 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3 where they hid until about 3a.m. on July 4 when they struck.

Patience Jonathan opens up on rift with Amaechi



Contrary to her earlier denials of involvement in the political crisis rocking Rivers State, wife of   President Goodluck  Jonathan,  Patience,  on Wednesday opened up on the  matter.
She told 16 bishops from the South-South, who visited her at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, that her misunderstanding with Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, started about four years ago in Anyugubiri in Okrika when she appealed to him  to engage  her people in dialogue instead of  demolishing  a part of their community.
Mrs. Jonathan  said the governor, whom she described as   “hot tempered,” did not only ignore her advice,  he went  a step further  by  sacking the chairman of  the  local government for holding a reception in her honour.
According to her, Amaechi did not only stop at those, he imposed a   curfew on the community, which is where she hails from.

Okonjo-Iweala Opens Up, Says Nigeria Economy Is In Danger



On Monday, June 10, at the third round of the 2013 ministerial platform in Abuja, Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, spoke glowingly about the Nigerian economy, saying the fundamentals were strong and that the economy was buoyant beyond danger.
But a few hours later, on Tuesday, when all the doors were closed, the minister sang a different tune. She told her colleagues in government point blank that the Nigerian economy is shaky despite the official fundamentals and that drastic steps are needed to save it from collapse.
Mrs Okonjo-Iweala spoke at the 50th meeting of the 15-member Federal Government Economic Implementation Team held behind closed-doors at the presidential villa.

Pastor Chris Kwakpovwe, publisher of 'Our Daily Manna' was recently reported everywhere in the social media to be embroiled in adultery scandal with his "ex-wife" allegedly dragging him to court. The story was very nasty and kind of too scary to believe.
His church has released an official reaction to the allegations. See it below:
On Monday, March 4, 2013, a malicious news entry concerning Our Daily Manna publisher, Rev. Dr Chris Kwakpovwe was posted on some internet blogs/websites popularly known for propagating unconfirmed and mostly false news about renowned individuals.

When did you wed her? And were you still married as at when she passed yesterday?
We wed in December 2005 and were very much married when she passed indeed I was talking to her on arrival in Lagos before the fateful event
I see you moved back to England. Do you have another family?
I work in Malaysia, we have a private home in UK, I do not have a second family
Also did you have kids together?
No kids, we were planning this year
There had been speculation for many years that she was married to an ‘oyinbo’ man. But no one could lay hands on anything. Why did you keep it a ‘secret’? 
Our private life is nothing to do with work life, there has to be a balance

Kalakuta Republic Museum In Honor Of Late Afro-Beat Legend Fela Anakulapo-Kuti Opens In Lagos - Photos

The late Afro-beat Legend, Fela Anakulapo-Kuti memory still lives on as his home turned into a museum,which has been renamed ‘Kalakuta Republic’ Museum on Gbemisola Street, Ikeja, Lagos State Southwest Nigeria, was formally opened today.
The opening ceremony was part of the ongoing Felabration 2012 was performed by Yeni Kuti and an official of the Lagos State government.
The event was tagged soft opening, according to Fela’s daughter, Yeni Kuti.
The museum consists of his bedroom, sitting rooms, photographs, with over 3,000 of Fela’s clothes on display.
She said the hotel and other aspects of the museum will be commissioned later.
The building was painted in white colour.
