Photo: Benue State Governor Plays The Role Of A Best Man At A Cook's Wedding



Peter Anyiman an indigene of Benue State was lucky enough to have his State Governor as his best man at his wedding last Saturday. The Governor said Mr Peter is a very diligent man who deserves to be honoured. According to him, Mr Peter who is a cook, serving Catholic Priest, Rev. Father Michael Tumba in Abuja had demonstrated a true commitment to his duties for 18 years and deserved to be honoured. Just like a best man would do, he helped the groom to adjust his tie and also cleaned his face at intervals.

CIA admits it was behind Iranian coup of 1953. When will it admit its role in the coups of the 2000s?

Marking the sixtieth anniversary of the August 19, 1953 coup d'état in Iran, the US National Security Archive has posted recently declassified CIA documents concerning the United States' role in the coup. It took the agency 60 years to admit what had been an open secret for any observer. Now one may only wonder how long will it take the CIA to admit its role in other turbulent events of recent years, when governments were toppled, installed and once again toppled due to what appeared to be spontaneous mass protests, but in fact were orchestrated from the same place as the 1953 coup in Iran.

Armed Robbers Arrested In Ondo And You Won't Believe The Reasons They Gave For The Criminal Act



Residents of Akure town in Ondo State recently heaved a sigh of relief after the Anti-Robbery Squad of the Ondo State Police Command arrested several armed robbery suspects who had been snatching vehicles and dispossessing their victims of other valuables.  Among the suspects currently undergoing interrogation at the SARS office are Tobechukwu Aguonu a.k.a. Alhaji Seriki Thunder and Uche Igwe. It was gathered that the two suspects, along with one Chinedu (surname unknown) invaded the premises of their latest victim’s house at about 11 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3 where they hid until about 3a.m. on July 4 when they struck.
