Six world powers & Iran can reach an agreement in fair negotiation on November, 20 – Lavrov



Six world powers and Iran can succeed in talks on Iran's nuclear program on November 20 in Geneva if the negotiators will not put "sticks in the wheels," said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an interview with "Nezavisimaya Gazeta".

ASUU STRIKE UPDATE: ASUU’s NEC Meeting Still Indefinite



The ASUU leader of University of Ibadan, Dr. Olusegun Ajiboye has denied reports claiming the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU was to hold it's National Executives Committee meeting yesterday as False.

According to him he claimed that there was no plan for such meeting.  Dr. Olusegun Ajiboye claimed that the report which made rounds on Saturday, that the National Executive Council, NEC, would hold an emergency meeting in Kano, were false.

Bullet Proof Cars: The House Committee on Aviation which investigated the purchase of two armoured BMW cars for the aviation minister, Stella Oduah at the rate of N255m has submitted its report.  

 Oduah should face the consequence of spending public money on unbudgeted expenditure such as the purchase of the cars: a three-year jail term and a fine of N100, 000. These are part of recommendations of the report of the House Committee on Aviation.

Billionaire Businessman Jimoh Ibrahim Nabbed Over N6.8b Tax Fraud.



According to a report by Sahara Reporters, the Special Enforcement Unit of Federal Inland Revenue Service has arrested billionaire businessman, Jimoh Ibrahim, over a tax fraud that runs intoN6.8b.Sources within the unit told Saharareporters that Mr. Ibrahim waspicked up today and is currently under detention at the offices of the agency.According to one source,
“We are investigating a case whereChief Ibrahim, defrauded the federal government to the tune of N6.8 billion. He is in our custody, we take intend to take a statement from the suspect under caution”, he added.One of our sources said Mr. Mr. Ibrahim have been evading agents of the unit for some time but disclosed that the eventually caught up with him in his hotel room in NICON Luxury Hotel where he was arrested this afternoon in Abuja.

The sad incident happened close to Ikota Primary school and the lifeless pupils are thought to be making their way to the institution when they were killed. The tanker driver forgotten his vehicle and escaped. The people protesting are insisting they won't keep the region till Governor Fashola shows up . A major crisis looms in the financial sector, as all banks in the country may shut their doors to customers anytime this week, as their chief executive officers (CEOs) move to protest the continued detention of their staff by the Department of State Security (DSS).

Daily Sun gathered that the CEOs are irked by the arrest and detention of several key officials of no fewer than 13 banks over the last two weeks by security operatives, saying that this has not only crippled their operations but also poses a great risk if normal banking operations continues.
