Asylum should be Femi Fani-Kayode permanent home

CHIEF David Oluwafemi Adewunmi Abdulateef Fani-Kayode (Femi Fani-Kayode, for short), former Special Assistant (Public Affairs) to former President Olusegun Obasanjo; former Minister of Culture and Tourism, and former Minister of Aviation, is truly a remarkable fellow.  Whenever he speaks or writes, he poses an intellectual challenge as to where to draw the line between normality and abnormality.  The  instances are numerous, but his last outing: “The gutless eunuch and the lion king”, published in The Nation of Friday, January 17, 2014, raised critical issues which the psychiatric community must tackle in the interest of the nation.

Farida Waziri Is A Beast, Obasanjo And Atiku Should Work Together To Bring Down Jonathan – Femi Fani-Kayode

I am glad that President Olusegun Obasanjo has finally described the former Chairman of the EFCC, Farida Waziri, for the beast that she has always been and that he has commended my brother Nuhu Ribadu for his excellent record of service to our country.

However I must say that I think that it is ill-advised for Baba to be attacking Abubakar Atiku at this point in time. Two months ago he fired a similar salvo at Bola Tinubu as
well which was again completely unecessary.

"A nation of perverts and paedophiles" - Femi Fani Kayode

The Nigerian Senate includes some of the brightest minds in our country many of whom are friends of mine and most of whom have been in active politics for many years.

FA: "A nation of perverts and paedophiles" - Femi Fani Kayode

They have my respect. However what transpired in the Senate chamber a few days ago was a great cause for concern for not just me but millions of Nigerians from all over the world. How an innocent and seemingly uninteresting, uninspiring and unimportant debate about when and at what age a Nigerian citizen could legitimately and lawfully renounce his or her citizenship turned into a referendum on paedophilia and child marriage I dont know. Yet sadly that is precisely what happened and ever since then the nation has been on fire.

‘Terrorists are not Muslims, but tribalists" - Prophet Kayode

General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church, Prophet Kayode Abiara, has dissociated Islam from the insecurity and terrorism bedevilling the country. He spoke at a press conference in Lagos on Saturday in the wake of recent terror attacks that claimed the lives of no fewer than 29 pupils in Yobe and 10 Ibadan traders killed in Mongunu, Borno State last week. Abiara said there were many “good, accommodating and charitable Muslims”, both from the northern and southern parts of Nigeria.

He said, “Based on my friendly relationship with them, I refuse to acknowledge that Islam breeds terrorists. It is a religion that preaches peace, charity and tolerance. I admonish Nigerians not to blame the insecurity in the country on Muslims indiscriminately.” Abiara blamed the attacks on the sect, who he said, were tribalistic rather than religious. He said, “Maybe they killed the traders because they don’t like Yoruba people.”

How Fani-Kayode stole aviation funds – Witness

A Superintendent of Police, Bashir Abdulahi, yesterday told a Federal High Court in Lagos how former Minister of Aviation, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, allegedly made several illegal payments into his bank account while in office.
Abdulahi, who was an operative with the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, but now at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, told Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia that he investigated the alleged mismanagement of fund by Fani-Kayode.
Ofili-Ajumogobia adjourned till today for cross examination. But before the adjournment, the witness said the petition about mismanagement of aviation fund was assigned to his team for investigation. He said investigation revealed that several payments, beyond the legal limits, were made into Fani-Kayode’s account, through one Mark Saviour.
Telling the court how his team discovered the alleged fraud, Abdulahi said: “I and other members of the team assigned responsibilities for ourselves and collected various documents that would assist our investigation.”

Nasir El-Rufai and his two daughters, By Femi Fani-Kayode

Piece written by former Aviation minister, Femi Fani Kayode
The graduate unemployment rate in Nigeria is 80 per cent yet these young people that are abusing and mocking my friend and brother, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, the former Minister of FCT, for saying that he has two daughters that have masters degrees but who cannot find jobs do not seem to appreciate the gravity of their own situation or understand the point that he was trying to make.
Nasir El-Rufai was simply speaking up for the very youths and jobless graduates that are now mocking and insulting him because of his comment. I assure you that his daughters will never starve and they can get jobs anywhere in the world or even end up working in any of his own numerous companies and business concerns if they so choose. He was only trying to use their plight as an example of the sad condition that Nigeria has found herself in where only two out of every ten graduates can find jobs.
If we put that in proper perspective it means that out of every one thousand graduates only 200 will find jobs and it means that out of every 10,000 graduates only 2000 will find jobs. This is as a consequence of the economic mess that the Jonathan administration has created in the last three years. The unemployment rate today has NEVER been as bad as it is today in our entire history. That is what Nasir El-Rufai was trying to point out only because he is humane and he empathises with the youth. He feels their pain. Those young people that do not get the point he was trying to make and that are mocking him and subjecting him and his daughters to ridicule and insults for saying what he said deserve to go through the suffering and frustration that they are experiencing in life.

EFCC re-arraigns Femi Fani-Kayode over alleged money laundering

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday re-arraigned a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, over alleged money laundering.  Fani-Kayode appeared before Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia of a Federal High Court in Lagos, on a 47-count charge. He, however, pleaded not guilty.  His counsel, Chief Ladi Williams, prayed the court to allow him to continue with the bail granted him by Justice Ramat Mohammed, who earlier handled the case.
Williams also prayed the court to allow Fani-Kayode the liberty to travel abroad at will for medical check up, as granted him by Justice Binta Murtala- Nyako, who also had handled the case.
