Expert: NATO Enforcing US Financial, Commercial Power Globally - Adeyinka Makinde

“NATO is the enforcer of American financial and commercial power” globally, which is the primary reason for the bloc’s expansion, Adeyinka Makinde, a London-based legal lecturer specializing in intelligence and security matters, told Radio VR.

That explains why the US is so eager to co-opt Ukraine, the expert said, warning that Kiev’s fate will be grim. Contrary to what the current Ukrainian authorities think, once the United Stated gets into Ukraine, through NATO or the EU, the country “is going to be plundered and looted”, Makinde stated. Western Sanctions Signal ‘New Cold War’ Against Russia, Disregard WTO - Lawmaker

Announcing sanctions against Russia, the West has in fact declared a new Cold War on Moscow, while the US has ignored the WTO rules by protecting its economy and dealing a blow to Russian and European companies, a deputy speaker of Russia’s lower house of parliament said Thursday.

“To a large extent, a “Cold War” has been declared which is today expressed by devising sanctions,” Sergei Neverov told Rossiya-24 TV channel.
The Russian lawmaker also accused Washington of provoking unfair competition.

“Today, the United States and to a large extent, Europe, have neglected the World Trade Organization decisions and the WTO itself by introducing such steps and therefore protecting certain sectors of the US economy,” the lawmaker said.

“On the other hand, the US does not care about how Europe will suffer or the fact that many companies and European citizens will lose not less or even more than Russia,” Neverov said.

Presidency, APC in Serious war of words

The Presidency on Sunday blasted APC leaders saying that these were not just unprogressive but also describing  them as “politically expired” politicians. However, the APC reacted swiftly, saying Nigerians knew perfectly that  most of the PDP leaders were septuagenarians and octogenarians.

Presidency, APC In War Of Words

APC national leaders – Chief Bisi Akande  is 74 years, Maj.-Gen. Muhamadu Buhari,70;  Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, 61  and Chief Ogbonnaya Onu, 61. The PDP National Chairman, Bamanga Tukur,  is 76; Board of Trustees Chairman, Chief Tony Anenih, is 80  and Chairman, Disciplinary Committee, Umaru Dikko, is 77.
But the Presidency, through the Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, said with the “politically expired” leaders in the APC, there was no way  it would be a threat to the PDP.
It  added in a statement in Abuja, that  it would be foolhardy for anyone to think that the  APC would be an alternative to the PDP.

Self-defense has become act of war for the U.S. and NATO – Rick Rozoff

The delivery of S-300 defensive missile batteries to Syria would protect the country from the types of attacks carried out by Israel and the U.S. but the West views such self-defense measures as an act of war and says that the ability of countries not friendly to the U.S. and its allies to defend themselves, in particular Syria, would upset the “balance of power”. Regular Voice of Russia contributor spoke about this, Manning and more in his latest interview with the Voice of Russia.

Nigeria can’t survive another civil war –Mark ( Do You Agree ?)

The President of the Senate, David Mark, on Thursday said those beating the drums of war ahead of the 2015 elections, should realise that no nation survives two civil wars. Mark said this in Abuja while addressing his colleagues during a special plenary session to mark the end of the Second Legislative Session of the 7th Senate.
He said, “Those beating the drums of war should realise that no nation can survive two civil wars in one lifetime.
“These trends must stop, and we must all remember that the nation is greater than the sum total of its parts.”
Mark said this just as he lashed out at elected public officeholders whom he accused of abandoning governance in pursuit of their personal ambitions ahead of the elections.
According to him, the vaulting personal ambitions among politicians was over-heating the polity and distracting officeholders from the onerous task of governance.

After the Nigerian Civil War, Why is the State Allergic to the Name Biafra?

The month of May marks the anniversary of the declaration of independence by Eastern Nigerians from Nigeria, and called their new born nation, Biafra.
Easterners did so following the obvious state-sponsored murder of the people of the East, as they were all branded Igbo: Ijaw, Ibibio, Efik, Ogoja, others. By the count of that period, the population of Nigeria was 60 million and 50,000 Igbo were killed in cold blood.
For those who were alive at this time, it was blood-chilling, inhuman, barbaric, reprobate and harrowing, never to be forgotten period in the life of this fumbling and wobbling country still held together not by common good and mutual love but by a strange and uncommon phenomenon, nameless, but akin to uncivilization. Also unforgettable because it marks the beginning of a shadow Nigeria.
