The Truth about FG’s position On ASUU Strike Revealed by Finance Ministry, says Iweala is not the Problem

This is a press statement from the Federal Ministry of Finance concerning the ongoing ASUU strike. It's been four long months (Quite shameful I must add) without any apparent resolution to the conflict in sight...and some folks are blaming the Minister of finance Dr Okonjo Iweala for what's going on. following the break. Some people in ASUU have been distributing flyers with abusive messages against Dr Okonjo-Iweala and now the ministry is issuing a statement about it, saying the minister isn't the problem. I'd rather read about when ASUU is calling off this strike to be honest.

The real problem with Nigeria -Reno Omokri

Nigerians always blame the government in power for the problems of the nation even though many of these preceded the government in power. Why do we always do this?

For instance, ask any Nigerian what the problem is with Nigeria and they will say like, Chinua Achebe, that it is leadership, forgetting that Nigeria’s leaders come from amongst us; and if we are saying that our problem is leadership, we are invariably supporting the racist Rhodesian doctrine that a black man would thrive best under white rule.

He noted that corruption was a universal problem, but added that other countries were able to attain development because they had adequate punitive structures in place.
The  theme of the colloquium, organised to mark the 61st birthday of Tinubu was “Beyond Mergers: A National Movement for Change”.
According to him, corruption is a big issue in the country today as in other parts of the world like Russia, China and others; but why are they eradicating poverty and Nigeria isn’t?
“It is not just corruption. It is the kind of failed interventions that are procured with the proceeds of corruption.

Gov Sullivan Chime Has Heart Problem ––Insiders Expose Secret

As the people of Enugu State continue to ask questions about the state of their governor, few aides and a serving Commissioner who are not happy with the ongoing deceit have disclosed that Governor Sullivan Chime underwent a heart surgery in the United States of America in 2005. This was two years before he contested the state governorship election in 2007. The insider sources said Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani, who was governor of Enugu State at the time, had financed the heart surgery and subsequent treatment. The aides, who craved anonymity so as not to be victimised, told the Punch that Nnamani gave Chime N7m for the surgery.

Man Aattempts Suicide Twice Over Eye Problem

Source: Punch Nigeria
Taofeek Muraina never had it good as a child. His adulthood is not even better. This, perhaps, explains why the 40-year-old bricklayer thought it wise to die rather than being put to shame by friends and neighbours.
Twice this year, he has attempted suicide. The first time, Punch Metro learnt, was about five months ago, while the second one was on December 5.
