Barack Obama Set To become a clone of George W. Bush - chairman of the State Duma's International Affairs Committee Alexei Pushkov.

The US is moving gradually towards a war in Syria, said chairman of the State Duma's International Affairs Committee Alexei Pushkov.

"Obama is moving unavoidably towards a war in Syria, the way George W. Bush was moving towards the war in Iraq.
A war in Syria, like the war in Iraq would be illegitimate, and Obama will become Bush's clone," he wrote in his Twitter blog on Sunday.

Human head transplants may Soon become a Reality

Transplantation of one head to another could be very possible in the future, as according to Dr. Sergio Canavero, technical barriers can be defeated. More recently, the doctor, who is part of the Turin Advanced Neuromodulation Group, pointed out that head transplants were done in a successful manner on animals since the 1970s.

Issues that have come to surface with the experimental procedure done on animals, was the inability to remove their spinal cords to a new body. As a result, this left them paralyzed. Dr. Canavero states that advances in connecting spinal cords which are cut surgically, means doing such a transplants should be technically possible in humans.
“The greatest technical hurdle to [a head transplant] is of course the reconnection of the donor’s (D)’s and recipients (R)’s spinal cords. It is my contention that the technology only now exists for such linkage…. [S]everal up to now hopeless medical connections might benefit from such a procedure,” Canavero wrote down in his paper.

Self-defense has become act of war for the U.S. and NATO – Rick Rozoff

The delivery of S-300 defensive missile batteries to Syria would protect the country from the types of attacks carried out by Israel and the U.S. but the West views such self-defense measures as an act of war and says that the ability of countries not friendly to the U.S. and its allies to defend themselves, in particular Syria, would upset the “balance of power”. Regular Voice of Russia contributor spoke about this, Manning and more in his latest interview with the Voice of Russia.

I Never Imagined I Could Become A Governor… I Had Preferred To Be A Soldier – Sokoto State Governor

Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, has urged the people of the state to embrace peace and the fear of God, noting that their usual good conduct would continue to earn the state more respect. The governor also prayed for peace and prosperity of Sokoto State and the country at large.
Wamakko’s message was made available to Nigerian Tribune, and the governor, who clocks 60 today, said the peace of the north that had been ruptured by acts of terrorism could be overcome with concerted efforts, as he urged Nigerians never to think the problems was meat only for the north to solve. He said Nigeria as a country would need to operate as one body in which case, whatever happened to a party must be the concerned of all the others. He said the ability of Nigeria to take a cue from that would fast-track the process of the country becoming a true nation.

I’d have Become Head of State if I Wanted –Domkat Bali

General Domkat Bali (rtd), one-time most senior military officer and prominent player in Ibrahim Babangida’s military presidency but now the Ponzhi Tarok, says he never became head of state because he rejected the position.
Excerpts: After serving in the military for three decades, how well will you say you have adjusted to your new life? I am yet to adjust to it. I have always been a very free person in the sense of going where I want to go to and doing what I want to do and no restriction whatsoever. In this traditional setting, there are too many restrictions, too many don’ts and dos and the don’ts are more than the dos.
What is the major difference between serving in the army and now being restricted to your palace and the community? The major difference is the restriction. In the army, nobody restricted me. I would go to the office in my uniform and do my normal work. When I return home I change from my uniform and live my life like anyone else. I am no longer that free.

Niger Set To Become Oil And Gas Producing State

When the Niger State government recently took the risky path of funding the search for oil and gas in the Bida Basin, the administration of Governor Mua’zu Babangida Aliyu must have had at the back of its mind that the regime will be open to criticism from within and outside if the venture failed. Instead of seeking help from outside, the government decided to commission its own Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University at Lapai to handle the project, a step which served twin purposes of strengthening the capacity of the university in the area of oil and gas research and at the same time reducing the amount the project would have cost if commissioned to outsiders. There is no doubt that dedication to the project was also achieved because the university team that handled it see the job as ‘our own’ which must not fail and they put all they had into it .
