UNILAG Girl Abducted & Ra-ped By 3 Friends




22-year-old female student of the University of Lagos, Tolulope Titiloye, who was kidnapped and raped by three friends, who later posted her nude photos on the social media, is now in court to get justice.

Three friends – Bashorun Babajide, Aje Olumayowa, and Babajide Ajayi – had molested her, took photos of her without clothes and threatened to share the photos if she exposed them. Tolulope had kept quiet about the sad incident but trouble started when her family members saw her nude photos on the internet.

Guy Molests UNILAG Student And Shares Her Un-clad Photos Online.



The Lagos State Police Command has arrested 22-year-old Babajide Bashorun, for allegedly kidnapping a female undergraduate of the University of Lagos, Akoka, and Molesting her.
The police said Bashorun, a dog breeder, did not only molestation his victim, he also took snapshot of her Unclothedness, which he later posted all around the Internet...
A family source said, “Few days later, the pictures were all over the Internet. The picture had the name and surname of the girl, her university, age, department and course of study.People were stopping her on the campus to tell her they had seen her Unclad pictures on theInternet.

“The girl’s relations later saw the pictures and urged her parents to report the matter at Adeniji Adele Police Division.”

UNILAG Medical Student Drowns At Elegushi Beach (Photo)



Eniola Abiola, a 200L student of Dentistry at the University of Lagos Medical School located at Idi-araba met her untimely death as she drowned at the popular Elegushi Beach in Lagos on Friday the 12th of April 2013.For the past few years, some UNILAG students have been carried away by the ferrocious waves of the Lagos coast in their bid to relax and catch fun with friends.

Despite this, beach outings remain a popular event amongst students of UNILAG. May GOD grant her family the fortitude to bear the loss.

UNILAG Student Sells His Kidney To Graduate With First Class



According to a report on DeeLinkage, a 24-year-old graduate of the University of Lagos, had to part with his kidney, just so he could graduate with a first class from the institution.

Here is the full story:A University of Lagos (UNILAG) student who couldn’t swap kidneys to save his father’s life confessed in the hospital that he sold one of his kidney to graduate with a first class.
 The 24 years old boy recollected how he sold one of his kidneys to the dean of his faculty a few days before his convocation. He says he was being threatened with the reality of having to spend an additional two years to his already prolonged eight years stay in the school.

UNILAG’s Golden Jubilee Convocation Ceremony In Pictures



The University Of Lagos (UNILAG) today at a convocation for its 2011/2012 graduating students marked 50 years of its existence.

At the event, the staff, alumni and friends event of the institution proudly expressed confident that the institution will continue with its name unchanged.
Last year, President Goodluck Jonathan tried to rename it Moshood Abiola University, a move that was resolutely opposed nationwide.

19-year-old UNILAG student commits suicide



When a young undergraduate suddenly commits suicide, neighbours and friends are bound to draw various conclusions.
It is a more puzzling tragedy because suicide is not common among youths in Nigeria.
Till date, people are wondering why an undergraduate of the University of Lagos identified simply as Seun committed suicide on January 19. His action has left his family and friends in shock.
Claims by neighbours that he was a brilliant student in school could not be ascertained as efforts to investigate which department he was, proved abortive.

UNILAG Final Year Student Hit By Stray Bullet...RIP Olaleye Sunday Olanrewaju




Olaleye Sunday Olanrewaju known as Honorable LAS is a final year Accounting student of DLI in Unilag. He was hit by a stray bullet on Saturday, 24th of Nov. on his way to church at Sango Ota during a robbery incident.  
His family members have described him as a gentle, easy going man.  Miss. Titilayo, one of his course mates said he was a fine, small but very intelligent and vibrant man. He will be greatly missed by all, she said. He was laid to rest today in his hometown. May his soul rest in peace.

UNILAG gets new Vice Chancellor - Prof Rahamon Bello




Six months after the death of late UNILAG VC Professor Adetokunbo Sofoluwe, the university finally has a new Vice Chancellor. His names is professor Rahamon Adisa Bello and he was until now the Deputy VC and acting VC of University of Lagos.
