FG "Bokoharaming" Osun ahead of gov poll -APC

The All Progressives Congress has raised the alarm that the PDP-led Federal Government has started terrorising and intimidating the peaceful people of Osun State, with a view to cowing them ahead of the August 9 governorship election in the state.

In a statement issued in Lagos on Friday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party wondered why the FG will send agents of the Department of State Services, some of them masked and clad in black, to the state to harass innocent citizens in an unprovoked and primitive show of power that can only be described as sheer gangsterism.

Why PDP thinks it can win Osun

BASKING in the euphoria of gaining and sustaining the upper hand in Ekiti with its decimation of the support base of the loud but ineffective All Progressives Congress, APC, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has been strutting around like a cock in the midst of female fowls.
But do you blame the PDP, when suddenly the APC is losing grounds everywhere because of the less-than-noble and undignified behaviour of the leaders of the party, who, for want of office, have been trampling on every other person’s ambition?   From the North to the South, from the East to the West, those who look like political “juggernauts” have been jumping ship.

Aregbesola wants to Islamise Osun – CAN

The leadership of Christian Association of Nigeria, Osun State chapter, has accused Governor Rauf Aregbesola of attempting to perpetrate an Islamic agenda in the 22-year-old state. Secretary of the association, Rev. Michael Ajayi, speaks with TUNDE ODESOLA
What informed the allegation that Governor Rauf Aregbesola is perpetrating an Osun Islamisation agenda?
In 2012, there was an intelligence report of the agenda of the Governor of Osun State, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, to Islamise the state, which he vehemently refuted in his broadcast to the good people of Osun State. He said, “My good people of the State of Osun. As you may be aware, some reports in the advertorial sections of the media concerning our state and my person should give enough room for concern. There is a purported security report alleging that I am working towards Islamising Osun and plotting to secede from Nigeria. The first is patently false, while the second is laughable.”
