Shocking: Confession Of A DPO About What Goes On In Nigerian Police Stations

For whoever wants to know why inefficiency is the lot of the Nigeria Police, the starting point may be to closely watch the state of things at police stations across the country.

Apart from the poor physical state of many of them, they are largely run on charity.Investigations shows that some of the police stations in Nigeria get as low as N35,000 as allocation from the force headquarters per quarter.

This is the reason why in all the states of the federation, many police stations rely on philanthropic gestures from members of their host communities and proceeds of bribery to function effectively. And that is why inscriptions such as ‘Donated by Welders Association’, ‘Community Development Association’ are constant features on many items and facilities found in many police stations in the country.

How much? The 21-year-old Muskegon, Mich. woman offered $50,000 of her husband Jacob Merfeld's $400,000 life insurance policy to the supposed hit man, paid out over several weeks. When and how? Merfield was full of ideas. It could potentially look like a robbery, she suggested, should be painless (if possible) and must occur on one of two days when Merfeld would be working. She asked the fake hit man to "surprise her."

"The more shocked I am when it happens, the better," she said. And if at all possible, she requested, could he get the 27-year-old target outside before killing him?  "Because it would be messy in the house," she explained.

Documentary Evidence: Rebels used the chemical weapons in Syria - Russia

On July 9 Russia handed over to the General Secretary of the UN documentary evidence of the fact that it was the opposition rebels who used chemical weapons in Syria and not the government troops. The accusations of Bashar al-Assad's regime of its barbarian methods of conducting war have served for the USA and some EU countries as a pretext to lift the embargo on weapons supplies to the Syrian rebels.

Russian experts have determined that it was the Syrian rebels who on March 19 fired a missile filled with sarin at the suburbs of the town of Aleppo. The Russian documents differ from the US data on the same problem by a very important factor. The USA received its samples via intermediaries. The Russian tests were made right on the site where the ammunition exploded. The samples were tested in Russian laboratories, which are certified by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).

Chief Olabode George, former military governor of Ondo State and former Deputy National Chairman, People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in this interview, responds to topical issues in the polity and his party. Excerpts: President Goodluck Jonathan, the leader of your party is in the eye of the storm over 2015. How do you feel?
Nigeria has come this far because the concept of the PDP constitution has sustained democracy up till now.  Never in the history of our nation have we been able to sustain democracy from 1999 and we are now in 2013: that is talking about 14 years.  Never!

So, there is no need to pull anybody down because the man you pull down will also pull you down and so, where have you gone?  And it is there in Romans Chapter 14 that whosoever that God has given an authority, he did not get there by his own effort.  Let us support him.  He is our leader and it is our nation.

See The Great Harm Nigeria Is Doing To The North

Last week, National Teachers’ Institute announced that about 80 per cent of teachers in Northern Nigeria were not qualified to teach.  Just before that, the Federal Ministry of Education had announced the cut-off marks for admission into the Federal Government Colleges, known as Unity Schools, with the shocking piece of information that while the cut-off mark was as high as 139 for a Southern state like Anambra, it was as low as two, yes two, (out of a possible 200 marks) for pupils of a Northern state like Yobe.

According to the Federal Character Commission:
“In 1954 when Nigeria opted for a federal form of government, the concept of Quota System as a policy was adopted in the recruitment of persons into the officers’ corps of the armed forces and the police as well as in admissions into educational institutions,” to promote a fair representation and close the existing disparities among the parts of the nation. On the surface, it is a good idea, because it ensures that no single area gets into federal establishments to the detriment of other areas.

Communication is very important in every relationship…particularly, there are words, phrases and sentences that either partner does not like to hear. Generally, here are five things women hate to hear:
1. You are really getting fat: A woman knows when she is adding weight. I mean, she checks the mirror everyday, so she knows when her cheeks are getting too puffy or when her waistline is disappearing. Simply put, you don’t have to rub it in again…only encourage her to lose the weight. Don’t forget to tell her that she is always beautiful too…!

‘Why We Won't Back Jonathan’s re-election bid in 2015′ - Northern monarchs
