The sentence was handed down by a federal court in Buenos Aires.

Reynaldo Bignone, Argentina’s last dictator before the country’s return to democracy in 1983, was found guilty of crimes committed against 23 people, including seven women who were pregnant at the time of their arrest and detention. Their children were born in secret jails and were taken away from their parents.

See Why Beautiful People Are Attractive, Even When They Are Disgusted

Beautiful people are seen as good looking even if they distort their faces into grimaces of disgust, surprise, fear or anger, according to new research.
Unattractive people, on the other hand, are seen as unappealing even if they smile broadly because the underlying structure of the face is what others recognise, not the expression.
But expressions can still make a small difference as a signal of whether someone is worth pursuing as a mate, the researchers found.
British scientist, Dr Ed Morrison, wanted to study whether attractiveness was more to do with how you look or how you present yourself.

Woman that has the world’s longest legs in the world

The longest female legs measuring 132 cm (51.9 in) belong to Svetlana Pankratova according to Guinness World Records. Svetlana, who is a 6-foot-5 Russian native is, as one can expect, an assistant coach for the George Mason High School girls’ basketball team. Before becoming a coach in Falls Church, the woman with the longest legs in the world “also played basketball in Portugal, Israel, and Spain before retiring in 2000,” wrote CBS DC in a news report on March 11, 2013.

When Svetlana Pankratova, who was born on April 29, 1971, grew up in Volgograd in Russia, she was already the tallest one in kindergarten and since children were arranged from tallest to shortest, the little kindergarten girl with the longest legs was always at the head of the line.

A Colorado judge has entered a plea of not guilty on behalf of James Holmes, the former graduate student accused of killing 12 people and wounding dozens more in a shooting rampage inside a Colorado movie theater last summer.

Holmes' attorney told the court that he was not ready to enter a plea, but the judge entered a not guilty plea for him and said he could change the plea to not guilty by reason of insanity, reports the Associated Press.  Holmes sat silent, but alert, throughout the hearing, alternately appearing to look at the judge and stare into space.  Holmes, who is facing 166 counts, mostly of murder and manslaughter, has spent the past eight months behind bars. He was reportedly restrained in a psychiatric ward for several days during the fall out of fear he might harm himself.

TB JOSHUA HEALS HIV/AIDS PATIENT

Recently you may have read the exciting news that a 2.5 year old girl has been cured of HIV. What struck our attention when reading the articles was the fact that this girl is reported to be the second person in history to have been cured of HIV. Here is how some of the big news agencies are reporting it.
Researchers say the only other documented case of an HIV cure is that of Timothy Brown, known as the “Berlin patient.” In 2007, Brown, an HIV-positive American living in Germany, was battling both leukemia and HIV when he underwent a bone marrow transplant that cured not only his cancer but his HIV. CNN
Dr Persaud thinks her patient, a two-and-a-half-year-old girl whose identity is confidential, has joined Timothy Brown, a man known to many as the “Berlin patient”, as a human being who was once definitively infected with HIV and now no longer is. Economist

US Shooting: 13 people Shot

They tumbled to the sidewalk or ran for cover, scraping and kicking fruitlessly at the locked front door of an apartment building amid a spray of gunfire from two cars speeding down North Capitol Street early Monday.
The backdrop was Tyler House, a subsidized-apartment building where violence has visited all too frequently for residents and police. As crime drops across the District and an adjacent neighborhood enjoys a burst of redevelopment, Tyler House remains a stubborn remnant of the area’s history of violence.
In the end, 13 people were hit in the drive-by shooting Monday, nearly all of them grazed or struck in their arms or legs. One victim took a bullet to the lower back and was described as being in critical condition.
Police said they had few answers to explain the shooting: no motive, no arrests, no information about a gun. Mostly, they and other city officials struggled to assure the public that a quickly gentrifying corner of the city is safe.
