Ex-landlady Abducts ex-tenant twins



A LANDLADY has repaid her former tenants'love in an odd and painful manner – she abducted their twins.

The authorities at Abayi Division, Abia State, are holding a female identified simply as Chioma for allegedly abducting the twin boys of her ex-tenants Mr. and Mrs. Okwudili Nwaeze.

The Nation gathered that Chioma visited her former tenants'home to, based on sources, exchange pleasantries with them.“

Nigeria Spends U.S.$13 Billion On Peacekeeping - Ex-Polish Envoy



Abuja — FORMER Polish Ambassador to Nigeria, Grezgorz Walinski has said that Nigeria has spent about $13 billion on peacekeeping operations since 1960 and has also sent over 250,000 members of the Nigerian armed forces to the United Nation's sponsored missions worldwide.

Ambassador Walinski disclosed this at the stakeholders' dinner reception for the Nigeria Security Exhibition and Conference, 2014, organised by First Security Guards Limited in Abuja.

Ex-Flying Eagles Midfielder Rabiu Ibrahim Collapses On Field, Stretchered Off To Hospital



Former Flying Eagles midfielder Rabiu Ibrahim collapsed on the field and needed to be rushed to the hospital. KickOff reports that the Kilmarnock FC midfielder collapsed after a collision with Ross County's Ivan Sproule in the 35th minute, and was subsequently stretchered off the pitch and rushed to a nearby hospital.

Ex B2k member Raz B on life support after bottle attack in China



Former B2K member Raz B, who has been living in China for the past three years, was smashed in the face with a bottle on Thursday night. According to TMZ Raz was performing at a club in Zhejiang when he noticed a fight pop off in the crowd. Raz left the stage to try and break up the fight and got hit in the mouth with a glass bottle by one of the brawlers. 

Security moved in fast and both Raz and his attacker were taken to the police station, but after it was determined that Raz was not at fault he was released to the hospital. 

Raz required a 1-hour surgical procedure and 4 stitches to repair the wound to his mouth. His attacker was ordered to pay him $5,000 for medical expenses.

The morning after the attack Raz B did not wake up. He's now on life support.

PHOTO: Ex-Convict shot By Buddies After Discharge From Prison



One of the warring factions in the Mushin crisis turned on its own recently, shooting an ex-convict, Kunle Ojoye, barely a week after his return from prison. Ojoye was allegedly shot at Akobi Crescent, Surulere, by his old friends.   Ojoye, also known as Obama, was said to be an active member of the Akala boys’ faction at Mushin before his arrest. Since the incident on July 16, 2013, Ojoye’s whereabouts had remained unknown as he was said to be critically injured.

A source at Fadeyi community where Ojoye lives, told PUNCH Metro, on the condition of anonymity, said ‘Obama’ was arrested in Feburary 2013 by the Special Anti Robbery Squad for his alleged role in the Mushin crisis and the supremacy battle in the National Union of Road Transport Workers.

Mixed reactions greet govs’ visits to ex-leaders



Mixed reactions have continued to trail the visits of some Northern states’ governors to three former Nigerian leaders – Generals Olusegun Obasanjo,   Abdusalami Abubakar and Ibrahim Babangida.
Four of the governors – Murtala Nyako (Adamawa); Sule Lamido(Jigawa); Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto); and Rabiu Kwakwanso (Kano) – had  last Saturday visited Obasanjo in Abeokuta where they discussed issues that have to do with the polity, especially the 2015 general elections.
On Monday, Wamakko, Lamido, Kwakwanso and Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu  headed for Minna, where they reportedly discussed similar issues, including the political crisis in Rivers State with Abubakar and Babangida.

Ex-minister’s relation accused of killing live-in lover




A relation of a former Minister of Interior, Capt. Emmanuel Iheanacho (retd.), has been accused of killing his live-in lover.
The suspect, George Iheanacho, allegedly killed his 32-year-old partner, Regina James (pictured above), the mother of his three children – two boys and a girl.
George was said to have killed Regina in their residence at 3, Calvary Street, Iyana Isasi, Lagos-Badagry Expressway in late April, 2013.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the accused, who worked in the ex-minister’s company, Genesis Worldwide Shipping Company, Apapa, on the fateful day, accused Regina, who had lived with him for six years, of unfaithfulness.

It was further learnt that subsequent argument over the accusation led to the suspect beating up Regina and in the process, she fell into a coma.

Elder statesmen and former governor of Borno State, Group Capt. Mustapha Amin (rtd.) is dead.He died on Wednesday morning in Kaduna State. LEADERSHIP gathered that funeral prayers for the late Amin will hold this afternoon at Sultan Bello Mosque, Kaduna.
The late Amin was the first governor of Borno State; he served from March 1976 to July 1978 during the military regime of General Olusegun Obasanjo.

HEARTLESS !!! Pregnant Woman Deliberately Runs Over Her Ex-Boyfriend's New Pregnant Girlfriend With Her Car



A pregnant woman was nearly killed when a woman also pregnant with her boyfriend's child deliberately slammed into her with a car.
The injured woman, who is five-months pregnant, was pinned between the wall of a house and a car driven by Shareyll Hunter. The attack was the culmination of a love triangle among Hunter, 26, her ex-boyfriend Christopher Chaney and the victim: Chaney's new girlfriend Alise Kelley, 21.
Kelley is in the hospital with two broken legs, CW39 NewsFix reported. Her unborn child is reportedly OK, but doctors might have to amputate one or both of her legs.  Chaney, who has two children already with Hunter, said that the two women have been arguing continuously for days on end. "They just don't like each other. I don't know if it's because of me or what. I mean, I am handsome," Chaney said, according to KTRK.
After allegedly ramming into Kelley outside Chaney's house, police contend that Hunter drove off with her ex's Lincoln Continental LS, KHOU reported.
She's reportedly still on the loose.

Britain Writes FG, Requests Ex-Convict Alamieyeseigha’s Extradition To London



The United Kingdom has said that it has not given up on its efforts to extradite former Bayelsa State governor, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, back to Britain to face trial.
The UK said it had already contacted the Federal Government requesting Mr. Alamieyeseigha’s extradition, and was awaiting a response to the request. The British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Andrew Pocock, told the paper in an exclusive interview that the former governor, who recently got state pardon from his criminal conviction in Nigeria, still has an outstanding case of money laundering to answer to in the UK and that the UK government will not give up until Mr. Alamieyeseigha is brought to justice.

The ex-Boko Haram leader appeared at a Federal High Court in Abuja today. Sokoto is accused of masterminding the 2011 Christmas Day church bombing in Niger State, which left more than 20 people dead. His trial was stalled today due to negligence on the part of the prosecuting lawyers.

Nelson Mandela's Ex-Wife Blamed For Murder



Johannesburg - The exhumation of two graves, believed to contain the remains of two young men who were reported missing to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC), is underway in Soweto.
Siboniso Anthony Shabalala’s mother blames Winnie Madikizela–Mandela for her son’s murder.
Corlett “Lolo” Sono and Siboniso Anthony Shabalala disappeared more than 24 years ago and now the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) believes they have found their bodies.
Their deaths are alleged to have involved Winnie Madikizela–Mandela. Under a muted grey sky haphazard rows of black granite tomb stones lie scattered amid unmarked graves.

Benny Hinn Remarries His Ex-wife



Televangelist Benny Hinn has remarried his former wife and mother of his four children, Suzanne Harthern. Hinn married Suzanne in 1979 and divorced her 31 years later in 2010. He claimed at the time that the split came about because of Suzanne's addiction to prescription drugs. In 2012, Hinn announced that he and Suzanne have begun reconciliation and the couple remarried on Sunday March 3, 2013 in Orlando, Florida. Inspiring!

Ex Eagles star Okey Isima dies at 56



Former Rangers International FC of Enugu and Green Eagles of Nigeria defender, Okey Isima, is dead. The ex footballer turned engineer died in Abuja yesterday Monday February 18th after a brief illness. He was 56.
Okey Isima was a member of the Eagles team that won the 1980 Africa Cup of Nations in Lagos and also played at the 1980 Olympics in Moscow.
Okey was based in Atlanta Georgia for many years before relocating to Nigeria a few years ago 'to contribute his quota in bringing back the lost glory of Nigerian football'.

He is survived by his wife and four children.

President made no single-term promise –Ex-Senate Whip



Former Senate Whip, Senator Kanti Bello, has accused the Niger State Governor, Babangida Aliyu, of telling a lie over his claim that President Goodluck Jonathan agreed to a single term in 2011.
Bello said, as a principal officer of the Senate in 2011, he attended a meeting of governors and lawmakers where the issue of Jonathan’s single term was raised.
The former Senate Whip told our one of correspondents in a telephone interview on Sunday that he personally raised the matter during the said meeting and that Jonathan did not make any promise of serving just one term.
Aliyu had in an interview aired on Liberty Radio, Kaduna, claimed that President Jonathan had agreed to serve for only one term of four years beginning from 2011.
But Bello, a former member of the Peoples Democratic Party, who defected to the Congress for Progressive Change, dismissed Aliyu’s claims.

ICPC probes four govs over alleged graft



Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission on Sunday said it had started  investigating four governors over alleged misappropriation of public funds and abuse of office.
A statement by the commission’s spokesperson, Mr. Folu Olamiti, said the ICPC Chairman, Mr. Ekpo Nta, stated this during a programme on Splash FM in Ibadan.
The statement also said the commission had sent some of its operatives to Canada for forensic investigations training on cashless transaction.
Nta, however, declined to name the governors, saying, “It will jeopardise our investigations”.
He said, “It should be noted that those (governors) invited for questioning are still innocent until prima facie cases are made against them. So, those who have no case to answer will be allowed to go as freemen with their image intact.

Father Sets House Ablaze And Kills His 6 Children As He Frames Ex-Girlfriend



A father accused of killing his six children in a house fire started the blaze as part of a 'plan' to frame his ex-girlfriend after becoming locked in a custody battle with her, a court has heard.
Mick Philpott, along with his wife Mairead, allegedly started the fire at their semi-detached home after making reports to the police that his former partner, Lisa Willis, had been threatening him and his family.
There were emotional scenes during their manslaughter trial at Nottingham Crown Court today as the 999 call made by the couple as the fire took hold was played to the jury.
