Female NYSC asked to leave orientation camp for refusing to wear trousers in camp



National Youth Service Corps in Ogun State has stopped a female corps member, Miss Tolutope Ekundayo, from participating in the ongoing orientation programme for allegedly refusing to wear trousers at the camp.
 
Ekundayo, who spoke with reporters after a press conference organised by the General Overseer, Faith Revival Apostolic Church, Apostle Paul Adenuga in Lagos, said she was thrown out of the camp at about 11pm on Friday.
The corps member, a graduate of the Lagos State University, Ojo, alleged that NYSC officials asked her to leave the camp after she refused to wear trousers, one of the corps members’ attire.

Church condemns sack of corps member over refusal to wear trousers





ABEOKUTA – Reactions have started trailing the decamping of 2013 Batch A, female corps member, Ms Tolu Ekundayo, by the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Ogun State for wearing skirt at the Shagamu orientation camp.

In a press conference organised by Ekundayo’s church, Faith Revival Apostolic Church, FRAC, in Lagos, the expelled corps member  said she was asked to leave the camp at about 11.00pm on March 8, 2013 by the Ogun State NYSC Co-ordinator, for her refusal to put on trousers.
She explained that her refusal to wear trousers was not in disobedience to NYSC authorities but in line with her belief and faith in God.

Female Teachers Banned From Wearing Trousers in Kogi State



Kogi State government has banned female teachers in the public primary and secondary schools from wearing trousers during school hours. The state Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Grace Elebiyo during a press briefing on Wednesday warned that any female teacher caught violating the order will face disciplinary action.
Elebiyo said this new order came after some female teachers in the state were caught violating their professional code of dressing.
She asserted that Kogi State Ministry of Education would no longer tolerate indecent dressing to schools.

Gunmen Slaughter 20 Ladies For Wearing Mini Skirts And Trousers





Barely 24 hours after over ten people were slaughtered in Maiduguri, twenty ladies who were prone of wearing mini skirts and trousers were Friday slaughtered in their separate homes in Maiduguri Metropolis by yet to be identified gunmen.

This ugly development is one of its kind, as many believed that most of the daily killing in Borno are only targeted at men and security agencies.

The slaughtering of about twenty different ladies our Correspondent gathered took place in the early hours of Friday precisely at about 1 to 2am when most of residents were still asleep in their houses due to 6am to 9pm Curfew imposed on the state in the past five months.
