Mutharika bought the jet in 2009 for $22 million, a purchase that was widely criticized as a waste by many, including Malawi’s main bilateral donor Britain.  The country reduced its aid to the African nation by 3 million pounds because of it.

Current leader of Malawi, President Joyce Banda, who took office in April 2012 after Mutharika died of a heart attack, was lauded when she made the decision to put the luxury jet up for sale.

Primate Elijah Ayodele Seeks Presidential Attention… Attacks Pastor Oritsejafor

The popular seer and self acclaimed man of God, Primate Elijah Ayodele, is a known name in Nigeria. He gained relevance through his numerous predictions with a vast majority of such predictions coming to pass.

But recently, the man behind the Inri Foundation, a humanitarian organization poised to take care of the needs of those in need, has lampooned the governance of the apex Christian body, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN led by Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor. In his predictions for this season, he said Oritsejafor lacks style as CAN leader.

Hear him, “CAN has not been playing its role as an umbrella Christian body. The leadership of CAN has turned the body to a kind of political party through which they play politics and solicit from government. The current leadership of CAN lacks vision, they lack Focus.”

Buhari will concede to any APC presidential candidate – Okechukwu

In this interview with OZIOMA UBABUKOH, a former governorship candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change in Enugu State, Osita Okechukwu, speaks about the All Progressives Congress, its plans to oust the Peoples Democratic Party,  Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari’s presidential ambition, among other issues
Is the sole aim of the All Progressives Congress just to grab power?
The sole aim of the APC is the provision of welfare and security, which Nigerians have been denied in the last 13 years by the PDP, a political party with the philosophy, ‘Food is Ready’ and motto: ‘Share the Money.’
Many Nigerians are of the opinion that there is no ideological difference between any of the political parties, therefore, the APC is a gang-up with the aim to grab power.

"Presidential Aide Douglas Should Be Made To Replace Crashed Helicopter" - NDLF

The Nigeria Democratic Liberty Forum (NDLF) has described as a “disgrace” the conduct of government officials in failing to distinguish between official duties and private events.
In a statement issued today, the group said it was appalled by the crass display of impunity by the Goodluck Jonathan administration in the deployment of federal government's military assets for private and social events to the extent that military equipment has become a perk of office.
“The prior use of similar chopper by President Goodluck Jonathan during the burial of his brother in Otueke and the use of a Naval chopper by Presidential aide-Mr Oronto Douglas for his father's burial which resulted in the loss of the Nigerian Navy helicopter is reprehensible,” NDLF said.
