Christmas and Blood culture ? Lagos and C-river Celebrate in Agony




To be honest with you. I am beginning to think this Christmas thing or festive period has a lot to do with idol or sacrifice. Omg!!! Did I just read on Punch that several died in Lagos and C.river on Christmas day ? This is sad news and I am in pain. I can't sleep. May their souls rest in peace.

Nollywood At 20: Pres. Jonathan hosts presidential dinner to Celebrate



It was so hush hush I almost missed it..lol...but was able to get some info to share. Nollywood stars met with President Jonathan yesterday Saturday March 2nd at the State House in Marina, Lagos. The president hosted a presidential dinner to celebrate Nollywood at 20. First Lady Patience Jonathan, Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra State governors and lots of important people were at the dinner. (Above are actors Chidi Mokeme and Chika Ike at the dinner).

Prison Authorities Celebrate Valentine With Female Inmates



As Nigeria joined other parts of the world to celebrate Valentine’s Day, yesterday, inmates at the Kirikiri Female Prison, Lagos, were not left out, as they were hosted to a banquet of celebration by the Prisons authorities.
Speaking at the occasion, Deputy Comptroller of Prisons in-charge of the Female Prison, Mrs Onwuli Isioma Leticia, explained that the celebration was a clear demonstration of what Valentine meant and also to facilitate the reformation process.

Tópless Women Celebrate Pope’s Resignation In Church



Eight feminists flashed their bréasts in the heart of Paris’ Notre Dame cathedral on Tuesday to celebrate Pope Benedict XVI’s shock resignation announcement.
The members of the Femen movement entered the Gothic cathedral dressed in long coats which they whipped off inside while ringing three bells near the altar.
“Pope no more!” they cried. “No more homophobe” and “Bye bye Benedict!”

Jonathan, wife celebrate victory mid-air



President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Patience, on Wednesday celebrated Super Eagles’ semi-final victory over Mali aboard a presidential aircraft. Jonathan and members of his delegation were aboard presidential jet, NAF 1, on his way from Cairo, Egypt to London when the Eagles beat their Malian counterparts 4-1 to proceed to the final of the tournament.
In a message on Twitter, presidential spokesman, Reuben Abati, said the NAF 1 relayed the details of the match when the President was airborne.He quoted Jonathan as asking the Super Eagles to work hard to ensure they bring the trophy to Nigeria.
