Fashola seeks technology to develop rail transport



Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola says a mutual collaboration between Nigeria and any country with a reliable technology on rail transportation will guarantee long life span for roads across the country.
Fashola spoke at the Lagos House, Ikeja, during a courtesy visit by the Russian Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Nickolay  Udovichenko.
He said Nigeria needed to take a lot of cargo off her highways in order to extend their lifespan.
The governor said since Russia had developed such technology, it was necessary that Nigeria showed interest in Russia to adopt the technology to take pressure off her roads.

Jonathan to critics - ''Develop your marking scheme and mark us''



President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday challenged observers and critics of the administration to develop a marking scheme to appropriately grade the performance of his administration. At the same time the Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, and the Minister of National Planning, Shamsudeen Usman, highlighted the performance of the Jonathan administration.

The president said this at the presentation of his midterm scorecard to Nigerians and the global community.

Mr. Jonathan said his two years performance should be compared with those of previous Nigerian leaders and other African leaders.

Indian scientists have developed ‘snake robots’ that can slither through the rubble of buildings brought down by earthquakes, locate survivors and alert rescuers, hence to saving lives during disasters.
Fitted with a high-definition camera and ultrasonic sensors, snake robots are flexible enough to enter into a narrow opening and locate survivors under the rubble.

I See the Presidential Jet Develop Man-Made Fault - Primate Ayodele





The founder of INRI Evangelical Church World Wide, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele has revealed that the death of Governor Patrick Yakowa and Gen. Andrew Azazi would have been averted, if divine warnings were not taking for granted. He has however warned President Goodluck Jonathan to sanctify his Presidential Fleet to avert an air disaster that would throw the nation into deep sorrow.  "We are going into another year, again. Help me to tell President Goodluck Jonathan to sanctify his jet. Evil will not befall the nation. I could see the presidential jet developing human made mechanical fault."
