Just In: Police storms Kano government lodge in Abuja, holds five fPDP governors hostage [PHOTO]




A detachment of police officers, led by the DPO of Asokoro police division today stormed the Kano State Government Lodge in Abuja and held at least 5 factional PDP governors in addition to others hostage.
In accordance with SaharaReporters, five trapped governors are members of the splinter faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) who have refused to accept Bamanga Tukur as their chairman.
It was reported that there was initial tension when the security aides of the governors had denied to the DPO and his team entrance.

Gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram Kill Over 30 In Attack On Wedding Convoy Between Adamawa And Borno



Survivors and witnesses of an attack on a marriage convoy in Borno state, northern Nigeria have confirmed that gunmen killed over 30 people in an ambush including the groom.

The attack happened on 2 November on the notorious Bama-Banki road when the marriage party, including friends and relatives of the groom, was making its way back to their state capital Maiduguri after the ceremony in Michika, in nearby Adamawa State.

Court Of Appeal Dumps 2 Senators, 8 House Of Rep. Member




The Court of Appeal in Abuja on Friday fired two Senators and eight House of Representatives members from Katsina state, who got their seats after their initial occupants were sacked by the Independent National Electoral Commission December 2011.

The court ordered that those sacked by INEC be reinstated.

They are Senators Abdu Umar Yandoma and Ahmad Sani Stores, House of Reps members, Murtala Isa, Muntari Dandutse, Musa Salisu, Aminu Ashiru and Umar Adamu Katsayal, Muhammad Tukur, Tasi’u Doguro, and Abdu Dankama.

Ex-Nigeria’s President Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday said he would respond to the claims made by his erstwhile deputy, former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, on their political relationship, in his soon-to-be published book.

Abubakar had, in an interview published in Hausa language by a newspaper, disclosed that he “blasted” Obasanjo over his bid to run for a second term and had argued vehemently with him on his (Obasanjo’s) bid to go for a third term.

Barely a week after some suspected Boko Haram terrorists launched an attack on a security post along Bama- Banki- Firgi road in which they went away with some security patrol vehicles after setting the entire place ablaze, another group of terrorists suspected to be Boko Haram insurgents blocked a convoy of a bridegroom with his invited guests to a wedding in Michika Local Government Area of Adamawa state, killing over 30, including the groom.

Jacob Jume was yesterday arraigned before a Makurdi Chief Magistrate Court for allegedly raping his sick younger sister (names withheld) who was on admission in a private hospital in Gwer West Local Government Section of the state.

Source gathered that the 30-year old patient who was receiving treatment at Tersoo clinic in Naka, was allegedly r#ped by her brother and staff of the clinic, after having injected her with a substance suspected to be a sedative.

NSCDC Uncover Human Parts Market At Ife Bush.



Officials of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and some members of a vigilante group in Ile-Ife, Osun State, have discovered a location where some criminals are available human parts.

10-Year Boy Leaps To Demise After His Teacher Apparently told Him To Jump

A 10-year-old Chinese boy jumped 30 floors to his death after failing to write a self-criticism letter demanded by his teacher. The fifth-grade primary school student had been ordered to write a 1,000-character apology by his teacher for talking in class but refused.

The educator allegedly told him to jump out of a building after he failed to accomplish the task, a written report quoted relatives and the neighbour as saying.
