Ex-Big Brother Africa champion Wendall Parson, acquitted of scam charges totaling US$20 000
Former Big Brother Africa winner Wendall Parson and his brother William, who were facing fraud charges involving US$20 000 in a car insurance scandal, were yesterday acquitted. Harare magistrate Mr Elijah Makomo cleared Wendall and William at the close of the State case.
Mr Makomo ruled that there was no evidence placed before the court to warrant the two to be placed on their defence.
“Oral evidence and two sets of cover notes were produced in court as evidence,” said Mr Makomo. “The most contentious issue was whether the cover notes meant Wendall had insurance cover or insurance was effected once premiums had been paid.”Continue..

Port Harcourt: Nigerian Police frees 6 pregnant girls in baby factory raid
Lagos — Nigerian police have raided a baby factory in the oil city of Port Harcourt and arrested a woman accused of harbouring six pregnant girls, a spokeswoman said Wednesday.
"We rescued six girls last week at different stages of pregnancy from an illegal maternity home in Port Harcourt," Joy Elomoko of the Imo State police told AFP.Continue..

by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority from Coscharis Nigeria Limited,
were bought for her.

127 souls lost in Damaturu attack

five-hour struggle between people of the crazy Islamic sect, Boko
Haram, and military troops in Damaturu, Yobe State, killed at the least
127 persons, all but two combatants, based on reports from army and
authorities officers. The
