20 States Petition to Secede From US After Obama Re-election
Some people are really having a difficult time facing the reality of a Black president; so difficult in fact, citizens from 20 states and counting have filed petitions at We The People on WhiteHouse.gov to be granted permission to leave the union. The states include: Louisiana, Texas, Kentucky, Michigan, Colorado, New Jersey, Montana, Missouri, North Dakota, Indiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, New York, Arkansas and Oregon.
According to the terms of participation for “We The People,” as of October 3, 2011, petitions that meet the listed criteria become searchable on WhiteHouse.gov once and if they reach 150 signatures within 30 days. If that is accomplished, for President Obama to actively consider a petition, it must reach 25,000 signatures within the remainder of the same 30 day period. The White House reserves the right to change the time limit and number of signatures required. While there are several of the president’s policies that one could object too, at heart he is a moderate Democrat no more, no less.

Pastor Paraded Nakéd For Raping 8-Year-Old Girl In Lagos
A pastor, George Akinleye, a shepherd in charge of one of the branches of a leading Pentecostal church located in the Ejigbo area of Lagos was beaten and paraded round the area for having carnal knowledge of an eight-year-old girl.
The Ogun State-born ‘cleric’ was almost served with jungle justice for committing such an atrocious crime.
According to the victim’s father, known as Baba Akeem: “About a month ago, we were shocked when our daughter, Elizabeth complained of virginal pains, saying that she was séxually abused by ‘Baba’, the name she calls Akinleye the neighbourhood pastor. Her descriptions of what transpired between her and Akinleye showed that she was actually raped.
Speaking further, the enraged and shocked father said: “Angrily, I confronted the man. He accepted getting close to my daughter, but denied raping her; I knew he was lying. I almost got the Police involved, if not for the advice from neighbours to allow the sleeping dog lie.
‘Saudi Arabia not conducive for FG, Boko Haram talks’
Dr. Frederick Fasehun |
Founder and President, Oodua People’s Congress, Dr. Frederick Fasehun, says Saudi Arabia is not a conducive venue for any dialogue between the Federal Government and the insurgent group, Boko Haram.
Fasehun said any dialogue between the government and the sect should hold within Nigeria.
The OPC leader made this known at a press conference in Lagos on Friday.
Fasehun said, “Saudi Arabia as host for talks on a purely Nigerian affair is fraught with danger.
“Therefore, Mecca will not be the ideal place for the negotiation of the security of a secular state like Nigeria and the OPC urges the government to change the venue.”

Zimbabwean First Lady blasts members who travel to ‘war-torn’ Nigeria to see Prophet T.B Joshua
Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe’s wife, Grace Mugabe has blasted members of Nigerian preacher TB Joshua’s church who frequently fly out of Zimbabwe going for healing and other church meetings.
Mrs Mugabe said Zimbabweans should not waste their money visiting foreign prophets, but should instead seek salvation cheaper locally. Pr. Chris Okotie's Runaway Female Friends Battle For Vacant 'Mrs Okotie' Title
That the founder and the General Overseer of the Household of God Church, Pastor Chris Okotie packed it up with his second wife Stephanie Henshaw is no more news, just like the fact that a lot of people were caught unawares by his declaration that he was going to marry for the third time this December.
However, the announcement a couple of weeks back that the funky pastor will be getting married soon stirred some activities around his Oregun Lagos church, as some female members whose hopes were dashed when he decided to marry Stephanie four years back are currently jostling at the background to fill the vacant position of “Mrs Okotie.” Some of the ladies who are strongly rumoured to be on this list and whom the man of God has played a prominent role in their lives include:

I Can't Ban Okada Because I Belong To The Working Class -Oshiomhole
A few states have banned okada. Do you have any plans to do same?
I think it’s, for me, a class issue and I belong to the working class, so I cannot ban Okada. First, I believe that okada is a response to certain deficit in our intra-urban transportation system. From the 60s to the 70s to the 80s, we never had okada. I
f you ask a lady to take a ride on a motorbike it was like a taboo. Now it has became fashionable to have a woman and two children on top of a bike. It is not a culture choice. It is as a result of deficit in our intra-city transportation system.
If I must get rid of them, I should provide an alternative first. For me, the way to deal with it is to deal with the supply side. By this I mean, provide good city transportation, then people would have to choose among a taxi that is available, a comfortable and clean bus that is available, and an Okada.
People would now choose what will offer them more comfort. So, it is the result of certain weaknesses in our transportation system, and I think it can only be solved by dealing with those weaknesses. I cannot use state power to prohibit Okada. I am not sure of the legal status of doing that.
