Just In: Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris rushed to hospital after ‘attempted suicide’
Paris Jackson was rushed to hospital in the early hours of Wednesday amid reports of an attempted suicide.
Her mother Debbie Rowe is understood to have confirmed the reports to Entertainment Tonight and said the 15-year-old is currently at a Los Angeles hospital.
A lawyer for Katherine Jackson, Paris’ grandmother, also appeared to confirm the suicide bid.
‘She’s suffered with the loss of her father,’ the lawyer told the New York Daily News. ‘But we don’t know what she was exposed to that precipitated this.’

SAD: Father Of 3 Commits Suicide After He Loses His Job
BENIN— A father of three, who was identified as Patrick Essien, was reported have committed suicide, yesterday, in Benin after he was allegedly sacked from the transport company where he worked.

WSNE: Catholic Priest Commit Suicide After Allegations Of Performing Or-ál S-éx On Students
The Catholic priest who had been presented at a Lodwar court yesterday over the allegations of sodómising a form three student committed suicide yesterday night.
The body of Fr. John Manzi was found hours later on Tuesday night hanging from the roof top of his house at the Catholic Diocese of Lodwar in Turkana Central district.
The priest had appeared at a Lodwar court charged with sodómising school children the latest being a form three student, but was released on a bond of Sh 100,000 by the magistrate after he pleaded not guilty.

Former Nigerian model, Yinka Olonode, commits suicide in the US
On Monday April 29th, police said an unidentified man jumped from the rooftop restaurant of The Nines Hotel at 525 S.W. Morrison St, downtown Portland, USA. The man who jumped and died has been identified by the Multnomah County Medical's Examiner's Office as 34 year old Yinka Olonode.
Portland Police Bureau spokesman said Yinka jumped from the hotel building's 15th floor around 6:30pm that Monday evening. He said they do not suspect foul play but that the death is under investigation. If Yinka indeed committed suicide, nobody knows why he did it. IRAQ: Suicide Bomber Kills At Least 27
A bomb exploded on Thursday night in a popular coffee shop in western Baghdad, killing at least 27 people and wounding 51 others, city police officials said.
The bomb was hidden in a plastic bag and then put in a cafe in the Iraqi capital’s al-Amriya neighborhood, where it detonated around 10 p.m., according to police.
They estimated the device contained about two kilograms of highly explosive material.
The explosion ripped through the three-story building, which also includes an ice cream parlor on the first floor and medical offices on the second floor.

Girl, 17, dies following suicide attempt after alleged gang-rape by 4 heavy boys (PICTURED)
A 17-year-old Canadian girl died Sunday following a suicide attempt last week. The family of Rehtaeh Parsons said that their daughter never recovered from an alleged rape by four teenage boys in November 2011 that left her deeply depressed and rejected by her community.
Placed on life support last Thursday at a local hospital, Rehtaeh Parsons died on April 7 after her family made the decision to take her off the life support.
In a Facebook memorial page, the girl’s mother, Leah Parsons, wrote that Rehtaeh had been shunned and harassed after one of the boys allegedly involved in the rape took a picture of the incident and distributed it to their “school and community, where it quickly went viral.”

No Money to pay rent, Couple commits suicide
A once wealthy retired Italian couple committed suicide after the country's deep economic woes turned psychological.
Romeo Dionisi, 62, and Anna Maria Sopranzi, 68, hanged themselves in their home after Sopranzi's pension from her career as an artisan evaporated. Italy had raised the retirement age by five years.
Then, in an apparent fit of despair, her older brother Giuseppe tossed himself into the Adriatic Sea.
"They were people with great dignity," said Ivo Costamagna, the couple's neighbor in the previously prosperous town of Civitanova Marche.
"People like Romeo would not accept charity or social service aid," Costamagna told CNN. "Romeo just wanted a job."
But the jobs did not come, and the couple could not pay rent, reported Italian news agency ANSA. They wrote out their suicide note asking for forgiveness and directing neighbors to the room with their bodies.

Kwankwaso Releases Names Of 25 Victims Of Suicide Bombings, Says Senators Discussing Nonsense In Abuja ( See The List)
Kano State Governor, Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, yesterday released the names of some of the victims of last Tuesday’s suicide bombing attack on a luxury bus terminal in Kano. Apparently to refute that most of the victims were from South Eastern part of Nigeria.
The governor was speaking to a visiting federal government representatives who had come to commiserate with the state government regarding the deadly Monday suicide bombing of a bus station that killed at least 25 people.
Kwankwaso had earlier replied Senators Kabiru Gaiya and Uche Chukwumerije, saying they were “just ranting nonsense” in Abuja, and that they lacked first hand knowledge of the attacks.

HEARTLESS: Woman Commits Suicide and Takes her Baby with her as She Jumps From Building
The scratches on a 10-month-old’s face are the only sign of his terrifying eight-story plunge from a Harlem window after his mom took him on her fatal leap.
The baby boy, Keston, showed no signs of any major injuries while under observation at Harlem Hospital on Thursday. It was just a day after lawyer Cynthia Wachenheim strapped the baby to her chest and jumped from her Bradhurst Ave. apartment window, sources said.
Wachenheim, 44, landed on her back, absorbing the impact of the fatal fall. An autopsy found that she suffered a fractured skull and broken bones in her wrist and right leg.
Sources said she jumped nearly three hours after her husband, Hal Bacharach, 48, stormed out of the apartment during an argument.

Main suspect in India gang rape/murder commits suicide in his cell
Police said the suspect hanged himself around 5am this morning in his prison cell...but his lawyer and parents are claiming he was murdered.
"Ram did not kill himself. He had no reason to. He was murdered," his father said.
"This is not a suicide. He was kept in isolation, with at least four special guards posted outside his cell. We suspect foul play" his lawyer said
33 year old Ram Singh was the driver of the New Delhi bus on which a 23 year old student was gang raped and fatally beaten on December 16 2012. Man Commits Suicide Over Inability To S-xually Satisfy His Wife
A despondent palm wine tapper, identified as Nwandu (Surname withheld) operating in Ugbolu community near Asaba, yesterday, allegedly committed suicide following his inability to make love to his wife in the last few weeks.
Reports said that the palm wine tapper, a native of Ogbaru in Anambra state, has been married to his wife for over seven years before his s-x organ began to disappoint him.
Sources said that the man has been having problem with his genitals since the beginning of the month of February this year.
The resultant failure on his part to satisfy his wife s-xually, gave rise to repeated quarrels especially as blamed malaria for his dereliction of duty.
LEADERSHIP reliably gathered that the situation persisted until last Thursday night when he allegedly made another failed attempt.
Police authorities in the state confirmed that the body of the palm wine tapper has been deposited at the Federal Medical Centre Mortuary for autopsy and added that investigation was ongoing.
LEADERSHIP checks revealed that the palm wine tapper in the early hours of that fateful day had complained of stomach discomfort to his wife who unsuspectingly gave him tissue paper for toilet.
But the near hopeless dashed into the bush path where he allegedly hung himself on a tree.
At the time of death he had three children.

Female Taliban Suicide Bomber Hates The Idea Of Virgins In Heaven
Khalida Akhtar, a 20-year-old Taliban suicide bomber, decided at the last minute not to blow herself up at the main train station in the capitol of Pakistan because she remembered that she would have to deal with a bunch of virgin guys in heaven, local authorities say.
Ms. Akhtar, who was dressed in a head-to-toe burqa and strapped with explosives, was seen just hours ago running and screaming through the Islamabad Railway Station before she was apprehended by local law enforcement.

Mystery Girl Attempts Suicide At Wuse II Abuja
There was drama as a mystery girl believed to be in her late 20s tried to kill herself along Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse 11, yesterday. The girl who said she was frustrated with life occasionally ran into the road daring on-coming cars to run her over. The drama took place opposite the popular Sharrif plaza as concerned passers-by and shop owners continued to restrain her out of the road, pleading with her not to take her life. The development resulted in a serious traffic jam along the ever busy road as motorists had to stop to avoid running her over each time she ran into the road.

19-year-old UNILAG student commits suicide
When a young undergraduate suddenly commits suicide, neighbours and friends are bound to draw various conclusions.
It is a more puzzling tragedy because suicide is not common among youths in Nigeria.
Till date, people are wondering why an undergraduate of the University of Lagos identified simply as Seun committed suicide on January 19. His action has left his family and friends in shock.
Claims by neighbours that he was a brilliant student in school could not be ascertained as efforts to investigate which department he was, proved abortive.

Suicide Bomber Attacks Mosque, Kills 19 Worshippers
A suicide bomber targeted a Shiite Muslim mosque in northwest Pakistan on Friday, killing 19 people and wounding dozens as worshippers poured out of weekly prayers, officials said.
The bomber detonated explosives packed into a motorcycle in a narrow lane containing both the Shiite and a Sunni Muslim mosque in the town of Hangu, the latest bloody sectarian attack in a country where such violence is on the rise.
“It was a suicide attack which targeted Shiites but Sunni Muslims also fell victim since their mosque and some shops were also very close to the site,” district police chief Mian Muhammad Saeed told AFP.
