Israelis, Saudis plotting new Stuxnet worm to sabotage Iranian nuclear program - Report



Israel and Saudi Arabia are reportedly collaborating to create a new destructive computer worm to "spy on and destroy the software structure" of Iran's nuclear program, the semi-official Iranian news agency Fars said over the weekend.

Fars quoted "an informed source" close to the Saudi secret service as saying that Saudi spy chief Prince Bandar bin Sultan and Mossad head Tamir Pardo each sent a representative to Vienna on November 24 with the purpose of increasing the "'two sides' cooperation in intelligence and sabotage operations against Iran’s nuclear program."

R.I.P: Oba Adebiyi Adesida, Deji of Akure Is Dead



The Deji of Akure, Oba Adebiyi Adesida, died in the early hours of today in Akure, Ondo State. Information on how the monarch died are sketchy. His passing is likely to be officially announced in seven days time according to tradition.  Oba Adesida became Deji of Akure just four years ago in 2010 after the prior Oba, Oluwadare Adesina Adepoju, was dethroned and banished by the Ondo state government for physically attacking his wife and pouring an unknown substance on her skin.  Oba Adesida was 63 years old. Ukraine Protests bear hallmarks of a coup - PM Azarov



The pro-European demonstrations sweeping the country have all the hallmarks of a state coup, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov told Western ambassadors during a meeting on Monday.
"This has all the signs of a coup," Azarov said. "That is very serious. We are patient, but we want our partners not to feel that everything is permitted."

Many Died As Boko Haram Launches Attacks On Air Force Base In Maiduguri



Suspected Boko Haram terrorists, Monday morning, attacked the Composite Group Air force Base and other areas in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital.

The siege which started at about 3am shook the town as sporadic gunshots and other Rocket Propelled Grenade Launchers fire were heard, with ensuing airstrikes in Maiduguri and Jere metropolis till 8 am.

Millitary Drones to deliver numerous Goods in US for world's biggest e-retailer




Amazon, the world's largest online retailer, is testing drones for the same-day package delivery, a service called Prime Air, as the company works to improve efficiency and speed in getting products to consumers. In the near future the army of small drones with orange boxed attached to them would fly over cities, buzzing of new delivery.

Police detectives attached to the anti-robbery squad of the Lagos State Police Command, western Nigeria, have arrested a woman for allegedly stealing a gold chain worth N650,000, and hiding it in her private part.

P.M.NEWS learnt from police sources at SARS that the woman, identified as Tessy Emovon, 26, allegedly stole the chain from her boyfriend, Cosmas Odijie, 26, last Sunday in a hotel located at Ipodo Market, off Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja, after giving him a sleeping drug.

R.I.P: Fast and Furious actor, Paul Walker dies



Actor Paul Walker, best noted for his role in the Hollywood film franchise Fast and Furious, has been killed in an automobile crash. The smash took place in Santa Clarita, just north of Los Angeles while he was on his way to a charity event.  Walker was a passenger in a Porsche that lost control and hit either a light post or tree before bursting into flames. News of the fatal crash was reported by US website TMZ.
The actor's death was later confirmed on his Facebook page.

A Metro-North passenger train has derailed in the Bronx area of New York City, with a number of injuries being reported. Several cars plunged into the river, authorities said.

Reports are emerging that 30 people have been injured following the derailment in the Bronx, but this information has not yet been confirmed. A passenger who was on the train, Frank Tatulli, told Eyewitness News he takes the train every Sunday morning, and that it was travelling at a higher rate of speed than it normally does.

The five member of the East African Community (EAC) economic group have agreed to adopt a single currency.

 The leaders of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi signed a protocol in the Ugandan capital Kampala on Saturday for the adoption of a common currency in 10 years.
"We now have the framework required to unlock the promise of integration," Kenyan President and EAC head Uhuru Kenyatta said in a statement.

A court in Ukraine's capital Kiev has banned rallies in the city's center from December 1 till January 7. This is what lawyer Evgeniya Zakrevskaya, who represented the interests of the defendant, said to the Russian RIA-Novosti news agency.

The complainant was the city administration of Kiev. The court fully satisfied the complainant's claim, Ms. Zakrevskaya says.

A former military Head of State, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd), has said he has no appointed candidate for any political position in the country. Buhari, also a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, said this on Saturday in Kano at a sensitisation workshop, organised by the Kano APC Forum for Peace and Equity. The former head of state said he had no candidate and urged anybody who wanted to aspire to any post to feel free to do so.
“Buhari has not anointed anybody as a candidate, so whoever people want is his candidate.
“Whoever emerges for the party as the people’s candidate at the local, state or presidential level is Buhari’s candidate. So Buhari’s candidate is the people’s candidate,” he said.

Telecommunication giant, Etisalat Nigeria, has reacted to Julius Agwu’s seven day ultimatum to the company that it should compensate him with the sum of N100 million or risk legal action over “alleged unlawful and unjustified blocking and/or swapping” of his Etisalat GSM phone number 08189555555.
Agwu demanded the compensation through his lawyer, Festus Keyamo, due to what he termed lost of business opportunities and the inconvenience experienced by him during the period.

President Goodluck Jonathan says the strike embarked upon by the  Academic Staff Union of Universities since July 1, 2013 because of the non-implementation of 2009 agreement with the Federal Government is no longer a trade dispute but a subversive action.
Jonathan said this at the Peoples Democratic Party had caucus meeting at the Government House, Yenagoa. The meeting, presided over by the party chairman in their state, Col. Samuel Inokoba (retd), started late on Friday and ended on Saturday.

ASUU leaders adamant on strike.




Following threats from the Federal Government, leaders of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) yesterday relocated from Abuja to their various campuses in readiness for expected crackdown.

It was gathered that President Goodluck Jonathan might no longer be directly involved in negotiation with the lecturers because he is angry with ASUU leaders for three reasons, namely their contempt for the office of the President, their decision to issue new conditions and their alleged backing by some external forces.

Kyiv police release all 35 detained for resistance at Maidan Nezalezhnosti



The 35 people who were detained by police at a pro-European rally at Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square) in the center of Kyiv have been released after administrative reports were drawn up on them, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry said in a statement.

"The law enforcement arrived at Independence Square after they received a report from the Kyiv State City Administration's public utilities department. 'Berkut' [special police task force] started acting after the demonstrators resisted police and pelt them with trash, glasses, bottles with water, and burning sticks. As a result, 35 people were detained. Administrative reports have been drawn up on them, and they have been released," it said.

Mozambique airlines plane crashes in Namibia, all 34 passengers Died



A Mozambique Airlines plane, en route to Angola, crashed in a game park in northeast Namibia killing all 34 people on board, a Namibian police official said on Saturday.

Namibian Police Force Deputy Commissioner Willy Bampton told Reuters the burned out wreckage of the aircraft, which went missing on Friday, was found in the Bwabwata National Park, near the borders with Angolaand Botswana.
"The plane has been completely burnt to ashes and there are no survivors," Bampton said.

ABUJA: Lebanese Man Bags life sentence for storing elements of terrorism in His House.




Talal Ahmed Roda, one of the three Lebanese prosecuted by the Federal Government in experience of the armoury discovered in Kano, was on Friday jailed forever by an Abuja Federal High Court. But another two accused persons – the co-owner of Amigo Supermarket, Mustapha Fawaz, and Abdallah Tanini, were set free following the court ruled that the prosecution did not prove the 16-count charge brought against them.

The 16-count charge filed against the three accused persons and two business concerns – Amigo Supermarket and Wonderland Amusement Park Resort – involved components of terrorism,  money laundering and miscellaneous offences.

Thousands of Yanukovych’s supporters rally in Kyiv



About 10,000 supporters of the ruling Party of Regions are taking part in the We Are Building Europe in Ukraine rally in central Kyiv. Organizers are expecting 50,000 people to turn up.
