Four suspected Yahoo Yahoo Boys arrested



Web fraudsters who allegedly forged the official website of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, Abuja have been arrested in Aba, Abia State.
The four suspects are Messrs Chinedum Nwaogu, 30, Okechi Nwaobia Micah, 33, Ifeanyi Daniel Nwaubani, 27, and Chigozie Richard Akoku, 30. Confirming this, the Abia State Director of State Security Services, SSS, Matthew Obodoechi, said the suspects were arrested at 22, Jerry Nweke Street, World Bank Housing Estate in Aba.
It was gathered that the fraudsters have defrauded some Polish, Indian, Koreans, Slovenian and Croatian citizens. Besides, investigations revealed that one Fred, a Nigerian living in Malaysia acts as front for the gang, as he received all monies and transferred same through the various bank accounts of the gang members in Nigeria.

Police Arrest Redeemers University Student Over Death Of Suspected Gay Banker



Homicide detectives of the Lagos State Criminal Investigations Department, Panti, Yaba, have arrested an undergraduate of the Redeemers University, Ogun State, in connection with the brutal murder of a suspected gay banker, Adindu Ohamara.
According to sources, the banker was on April 9, found in a pool of his blood in his room, having been stabbed severally by the suspect.
Six persons were thereafter arrested in connection with the crime by detectives from the Homicide Unit of the State Criminal Investigations Department ,SCID,in Panti, Lagos State.

JTF invades Azuzuama for suspected criminals



Operatives of the Joint Task Force, JTF, yesterday invaded Azuzuama community in Southern Ijaw Local Government area of Bayelsa State in search of some suspected criminals hiding in the area.
The presence of the JTF operatives generated tension among inhabitants of the coastal community. National Mirror could not confirm as at the time of filing this report if the JTF personnel arrested any of the suspected criminals.
It was learnt that the manhunt for suspected kidnappers and sea pirates by the security agency was one of its routine operations to ensure sanity in the creeks. It will be recalled that some ex-militants ambushed and killed 11 policemen at Azuzuama on April 5, along the waterways.

Check Out The story of the 2 Russian brothers suspected in the Boston bombings




Two Russians bothers, 26 year old Tamerlan and 19 year old Dzhokhar, a second-year medical student in the U.S, are suspected to be behind the Boston Marathon bombings. Tamerlan was killed in a shootout with police last night, Dzhokhar is being intensely pursued. Below is their story...

In May of 2011, Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev (pictured above and below right), then a senior at a prestigious high school, was awarded a $2,500 scholarship from the city of Cambridge, Mass., to pursue higher education. Now, Tsarnaev is on the run, described as "armed and dangerous" and suspected of the Boston Marathon bombing.
Two brothers, one now dead, one alive and at large. After hours of only grainy images of two men in baseball caps to go on, a portrait gradually started emerging Friday of the men suspected in the attack.
Tsarnaev, 19, and his older brother, Tamerlan, who was killed during a violent night in Cambridge, had been living together on Norfolk Street in Cambridge. An uncle, Ruslan Tsarni of Montgomery Village, Md., told The Associated Press that the men lived together near Boston and have been in the United States for about a decade. They came from the Russian region near Chechnya, which has been plagued by an Islamic insurgency stemming from separatist wars.

Popular Pub Runner, Asake Dies.. Dreaded Ailment Suspected!



The lady popularly called Asake, who runs a well known pub called Asake at Joel Ogunnaike is dead. The beautiful woman died at the emergency section of Ikeja General Hospital late two nights back at about 9pm. Though, the lady was said to have had series of attack spiritually and otherwise, her skin, which was bleached to her veins, couldn't have extended her life span.  Information has it that Asake, who started bedridden months ago, was said to have died of stroke though, another section of the report has it that it's not just stroke but the deadly and the globally fearful ailment.We gathered she had series of love affairs with quite a large number of guys in the media, entertainment industry, financial institutions, nightclub business , Force services, transportation business to mention a few.

Army, SSS Pound Suspected Terrorists’ Hideout In Bauchi



A combined team of the men and officers of the Nigerian Army as well as State Security Service (SSS) operatives, Saturday, descended heavily on a house suspected to be a terrorists’ hideout in Bauchi.
 The house, situated behind Federal Government Girls College (FGGC) in the Abujan Kwata quarters of Bauchi metropolis, according to a top security source, is suspected to be the hideout of terrorists behind the recent attacks in the state capital.

Two Suspected Boko Haram Members Killed By Own Bomb



Nemesis caught up with two suspected Boko Haram members, Friday, in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, as they were consumed by their own bomb. The two suicide bombers, according to a statement issued by the spokesman of the  Joint Task Force (JTF) in Borno, Operation Restore Order,  Sagir Musa, exploded and died with their bomb before they could wreak havoc on their target.

JJ: Suspected Rogue Made To Drink Engine Oil




A suspected thief who allegedly stole a mobile phone was baptized with and forced to drink dirty engine after he was subjected to severe beatings.
The suspect, James Amanor, a 23-year-old scrap dealer, after receiving the beatings, was marched to a nearby fitting shop near the Community 18 Junction, close to Sakumono in Tema, by the irate mob. The mob poured gallons of dirty engine oil on him and forced him to drink some.

Suspected Lagos thug in police net




Jamiu Adetutu, aka Jarmani, has been arrested by men of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Lagos for allegedly assaulting an Ikorodu, Lagos resident named Nurain Lani. Before his arrest, Jarmani was allegedly notorious for molesting residents of Ilemere, Orupodi, Ibeshe and other parts of Ikorodu in company with a gang of hoodlums. His latest victim, Lani, who is a trader, was said to have dared to confront him over allegations that he had turned a thorn in the flesh of residents. Lani said he only asked Jarmani to stop molesting the residents of Ilemere, Orupodi and Ibeche communities. And for his ‘effrontery’ he got the beating of his life from the thug and his gang of hoodlums.

Decomposing Body Of Unidentified Man Found Hanging After Days Of Suspected Suicide




The body of a young man, who hung in an uncompleted building at Ibafo, was found dangling on Friday evening, apparently days after hanging himself. Eyewitness accounts disclosed that the dangling body was already reeking of stench in one of the bathrooms in the said building. According to a neighbour sharing fence with the said building, the disturbing odour coming from the area became noticeable about three days ago, but it was taken for granted that possibly an animal died somewhere around the neighbourhood.

Angry Youths Set Suspected Okada Thief Ablaze In Nasarawa




Apparently some suspected thieves are more innocent than the other or how else can one rationalize the craze for dispensing jungle justice on ‘petty’ thieves while those alleged and known to have looted the public till still walk freely on the streets like peacocks? 

Friday would mark an unfortunate day for a man suspected to be a motorcyclist thief, when he was set ablaze by angry youths at a workers’ village, along Kilema Doma road in Lafia, Nasarawa State, while allegedly trying to snatch a motorcycle, popularly called okada in the area.

Suspected Terrorists Hurl Explosives At Fully Loaded Luxury Bus In Kano





The ancient city of Kano yesterday evening witnessed another bomb attack with an unspecified number of persons and passengers injured. Although details of the blast are sketchy as at press time but we gathered that the incident occurred after two unidentified young men hurled two improvised explosive devices at a luxury bus that was travelling out of the state. The blast which occurred around the popular Zaria Roadabout by Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano area, saw a luxury vehicle that had come off the round about and was on the Express road driving out of the state, being the target of attack.

Suspected Gang Members Stab Informant 20 Times





An 18-year-old boy, Edward Egigi, is presently writhing in pains after being stabbed over 20 times by hoodlums suspected to be part of a notorious gang known as Downtown Boys in Somolu, Lagos State.
PUNCH Metro had reported on November 27, 2012 that the suspected leader of the gang, Ibrahim Balogun, also known as Small Jpron, was arrested by the police in the area and transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad at the police command headquarters.

A friend in need, they say, is a friend indeed! Call it euthanasia (mercy killing) if you like, but the story you are about to read definitely looks a lot like a case of mental instability. Joseph Akindele, a middle aged man, has confessed to the killing his friend, Mufutau, to relieve him of the persistent pain and agony he was going through due to an undisclosed ailment, affirming that his friend is “now happy in death.”

Lagos Police Arrest Suspected Serial Murderer, Robber





The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended Ibrahim Balogun, a 25-year-old man accused of perpetrating a series of murders in Somolu, Bariga and Fadeyi in the state. PUNCH Metro had reported on June 25, 2012, that Balogun also known as Small Jpron, was declared wanted following a gang-related violence between Shaggy Boys and Downtown Boys which left at least five people dead in Ilaje, Bariga.

Three arrested for lynching suspected robbers in Lagos




The Lagos State Police Command has arrested three suspects for allegedly taking part in the lynching of five suspected armed robbers in Mushin Area of the state on Saturday.

Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Ngozi Braide, said on Tuesday that the suspects were arrested as part of the ongoing investigation into the incident.

She  said, “A full  investigation has commenced into the incident, I cannot give details about the involvement of the arrested suspects for now.
“We have also invited the community leaders of the area where the incident took place. The police will surely get to the root of the matter.”
Braide, however, declined to give the names of the arrested men.

Obi demolishes another suspected kidnappers’ den



Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, on Wednesday led the demolition of two bungalows allegedly owned by a kidnap suspect, Mr. Emeka Ezekwe, in Umuihepune, Umuatu Village of Ihiala Local Government Area in the state.
A statement by Obi’s media aide, Valentine Obienyem, said the governor Peter Obi carried out the demolition exercise as part of the war against kidnapping and other crimes in the state.
He had recently led the demolition of some houses belonging to another suspected kidnap gang leader, Olisa Ifedike aka Ofeakwu.
