Story Of A Man That Refuse To Die: Survives After Being Shot 5 TIMES In The Head in Imo -

The shout of alleluia is resounding in the home of Mr. Alex Anosike, an engineer, who miraculously cheated death after gunmen shot him six times – five shots in the head and one on the shoulder.  But for divine providence, Anosike’s family, pastor and members of his church would today be in deep grief. Rather than mourning over his death, they are praising God and celebrating his survival.

Anosike’s close shave began on July 21 shortly after service at the pentecostal church where he is a member, when some other members reported to the pastor that they had seen two strange young men in one of the uncompleted buildings within the compound of the church located in Naze Extension in Owerri North Local Government Area, Imo State.

The Sunday Times Compares Rihanna to Princess Daiana

The picture below was taken directly from Rihanna's Instagram page. A newspaper article ran a story on Rihhanna, comparing her to Princess Diana of Wales,  Rihanna responded to the newspaper article saying she never thought she would get this famous, but now she is so famous that she is even compared to Princess Diana on the front page of a news paper. Well, as you must have guessed, most people didn't take the comparism lightly. One comment that caught my eyes was the one below. As far as I am concerned comparing Rihanna to Princess Diana is like comparing Chris Brown to Obama. Goodness, how is that even possible?

How Anenih, Alison-Madueke, Others Robbed Nigeria Of N234bn Meant For Road Construction - PREMIUM TIMES

By Ogala Emmanuel
Despite his indictment, Mr. Anenih has now been appointed by President Goodluck Jonathan to head the NPA board. Tony Anenih, recently re-appointed by President Goodluck Jonathan to head the board of the Nigeria Ports Authority, NPA, does not have a clean past in managing public funds, a 2009 senate report said.

In December 2009, a damning report detailing how Mr. Anenih, a former works minister and then leader of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), allegedly mismanaged billions of naira meant for the rehabilitation and construction of Nigerian roads, was listed for debate – for the third time in a row – by the Senate.

Tambuwal urges Nigerians to be law-abiding

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, has urged Nigerians to be law-abiding at all times and restore the virtues of good neighbourliness.

Tambuwal said these in a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Mallam Imam Imam, on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

Tambuwal said for Nigeria to make progress, the citizenry at all levels must be their brother’s keeper and be more sensitive to the well-being of one another, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.

According to him, all Nigerians must show commitment and readiness to make sacrifices toward the development of the nation.

He said that making sacrifice for the nation had become imperative now more than ever before, considering the numerous challenges confronting the nation.

The speaker added that while every nation on earth had peculiar challenges confronting its people, the determination to tackle those challenges at times sets some of them apart.

“We must face our problems with more commitment, determination, unity of purpose and the best of intentions,” he said.

He enjoined Muslim faithful to use the occasion to reflect on their spiritual lives.

“Let me use  this opportunity to urge Nigerians, especially adherents of the Islamic faith, to use the occasion to reflect on our spiritual life as individuals and how we can contribute more meaningfully toward making Nigeria the great nation envisioned by its founding fathers.”
