Jonathan may not rule beyond 2015 – Dokubo-Asari …says quarrel with Obasanjo unnecessary





Leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteers Force, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, has declared that President Goodluck Jonathan may not rule beyond 2015.  Dokubo-Asari based his statement on the facts that the President had lost the support of his political stronghold-South/East and South/South, going by the result of the 2011 presidential election. The Ijaw activist had in March this year declared that Jonathan would occupy the Presidential Villa for eight years from 2011.

Woman, 28, Caught With Cocaine Bags Implanted INSIDE Her Breasts

A drugs mule has been busted trying to smuggle almost two kilos of cocaine into Spain in her breasts.
Cruel traffickers forced the 28-year-old Panamanian woman to undergo surgery where several bags of the Class A drug were inserted beneath her skin – much like a breast implant. She was stopped earlier this month at Barcelona’s El Prat airport, following a flight on Colombia’s Avianca airline, after police thought she was ‘acting funny’.

HORROR: Man Lives With Girlfriend’s Corpse For Six Months





Prosecutors say Devon Epps murdered his girlfriend and then lived with her rotting corpse, which he kept in the bathtub, for months. Veronica Jones, a 35-year-old mother of ten, was first reported missing by family members in June of last year. It wasn’t until Epps was evicted from his home six months later that the apartment manager discovered her body. According to authorities, her face had been beaten beyond recognition.

DPO, 13 Others Killed As JTF Clashes With Gunmen In Yobe





A Division Police Officer, DPO, Mr. Mohammed Garba was yesterday killed when gunmen suspected to be terrorists laid ambush to Potiskum town in Yobe State.
A branch of Unity Bank, telecommunication masts belonging to Etisalat, MTN and Airtel, as well as a police station were also set ablaze by the gunmen using Improvised Explosive Devices, IEDs.
Thirteen of the alleged terrorists were also said to have died in the gun battle with members of the Joint Task Force.

U.S. And Nigeria Express Satisfaction With Trade Success Under TIFA





The United States and the Nigerian governments have expressed satisfaction with the  progress so far made in their Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA). The U.S. Consul-General, in a statement issued in Lagos after a meeting of both countries’ representatives in Abuja on Monday, stated that the agreement had since inception promoted trade relations between them.

A teaching assistant had unprotected cex/séx with five teenage boys in her care and sent them pictures of herself playing with cextoys. Married Emma Webb, 42, performed cex acts on the pupils - aged 15 to 17 - during free period and detention at the Berkshire school. She groomed them by taking them out for meals at Kentucky Fried Chicken and giving them lifts to school, Reading Crown Court heard.
The supply teacher and mentor, who admitted a total of 30 charges relating to the offences involving five boys at the secondary school, even joked with one boy about having his baby.

The court heard that Webb told the boy if he told anyone about the texts she would lose her job and that her plumber husband Andy 'had a history of violence', so the youngster would 'end up with no kneecaps.'
Webb started asking the boy to visit her and said he was 'a special boy', said Mr Heptonstall.

31-Year-Old Man Strikes Wife With A Brick After Singing Happy Birthday Song





A teacher allegedly struck his wife with a brick on the forehead after she sang him a birthday song while still in bed. The wife intended to surprise him by singing a birthday song, but she was struck with a brick for making noise. Takura Nyikadzino (31) struck Janet Matizanadzo (29) on the forehead after she sang him a birthday song while he was asleep.  Janet reportedly went to the bedroom where Nyikadzino was sleeping with the intention of wishing him "happy birthday" on turning 31.

BENIN CITY— DARE-devil armed bandits took over Auchi town in Edo State, Monday, robbing banks, after using bombs and dynamites to blow up the banks. It was gathered that the robbers invaded the town with sophisticated weapons and blocked all exit points before launching the attack on the banks.

Sokoto State Governor Flogs PHCN Manager With "Koboko" Horse Whip Until He Became Unconscious




Governor of Sokoto State, Northwest Nigeria, Aliyu Wamakko, has allegedly flogged a manager of Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, for failing to supply electricity to his community.

Premium Times, an online news portal reports that the governor flogged the manager and ordered his security officials to assault two other PHCN staff.

The management of the Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company, KEDC, a subsidiary of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, accused the Governor of assaulting the workers.

12 charged with robbing Lagos bank of N8m



Twelve men, who were charged with robbing Sterling Bank, Matori Branch, Lagos of N8 million, were on Wednesday remanded in Ikoyi Prisons.
The accused are Taiwo Aremu, 26; Muktar Eleduwe, 42; Lukeman Adekunle, 26; Kola Adenuga, 26; Ahmed Ajofoba, 24; and Saheed Olawunmi, 24.
Others are Idowu Adesola, 32; Waheed Shuiab, 38; Rasheed Anifowose, 22; Ahmed Adelakun, 28; Abdullahi Abdulkareem, 24; and Adedokun Yusuf, 24.
An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court, which gave the order, however, did not take the pleas

EFCC Arrests FAAN Official With N218m At Airport




The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has apprehended an official of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, Mr. Akinyele Adetula, for trying to launder $1.4m (N218m).



The arrest came less than a month after the commission arrested a 24-year old man, Mr. Abubakar Sheriff, at the same airport with $7m (N1.1bn).

Sunday PUNCH learnt that the suspect was arrested at Murtala Mohammed Airport on Saturday.
