A former Principal General Staff Officer (PGSO) of the Nigerian Army and Chief of Staff of 3 Marine Commando Division (3MCDO) during the 1967-70 Nigeria-Biafra war, Brigadier-General Godwin Alabi-Isama, is a reporter’s delight anytime. He canvasses his views with passion and emotion, not minding whose ox is gored. He was at his best, literally shooting from the hips, during a visit to the corporate headquarters of Vanguard in Apapa, Lagos.

In a two-hour chat with Vanguard’s senior editors on his book, ‘The Tragedy of Victory, On-the-spot Account of the Nigeria-Biafra War in the Atlantic Theatre,’  the civil war hero made startling comments that are bound to raise dust and generate controversy in the polity. For instance, he said the Northern and Eastern Nigeria have jointly been ruling the country since independence in 1960 and Nigeria has not known peace; there was no pogrom against the Igbo during the war; Biafra would not have lost the war if her military leaders had been tactically disciplined and prosecuted the war professionally; and that Nigeria neglects her heroes and heroines.

VIDEO: A Leaked Video Of Gen. Diya Oladipo Crying And Begging For Abacha's Forgiveness



At 42:00 mins into the video General Diya Oladipo is seen in a video recording shown at the Oputa panel, kneeling and weeping before Gen, Sani Abacha.
Gen. Diya was crossed examined at the Human Rights Violation Commission (HRVIC) on the coup plan 1997 to overthrow Gen. Sanni Abacha, He bluntly denied the fact that he was part of the plan but he admitted he knew about the plan.
He further explained that he was afraid of being killed by the Coup Master Planner if he revealed the plan.

To mark the 37th anniversary of the death of General Murtala Ramat Mohammed, President Jonathan posted this message to all Nigerians on Facebook. He urged to save the memories about General and respect everything what this man had done for the country.

Governor Yakowa, Former NSA Gen Azazi Killed in Helicopter Crash





It's a black Saturday in Nigeria as a helicopter carrying the governor of Kaduna State, Patrick Yakowa and former National Security Adviser, Gen. Andrew Owoeye Azazi and several aides crashed in Bayelsa State.
They were attending the burial of the father of the Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on Research, Documentation and Strategy, Oronto Douglas. Security and Aviation sources say Governor Yakowa and Gen Azazi have been confirmed dead. Another source said there are no survivors.

May the souls of the dead rest in peace!

Breaking News: Gen. Mohammed Shuwa Shot Dead by Unknown Gun Men




Ọmọ Oòdua has just received reports that retired Gen. Mohammed Shuwa has been shut dead by unknown gunmen at his residence in Maiduguri, Borno state which is at the heart of the insurgency driven by Boko Haram, the Islamic sect that wants to impose Shar'a law in Nigeria.

Mohammed Shuwa was a former Federal Commissioner for Works during military administration of General Olusegun Obasanjo, and until his death was a member of the Board of Trustees of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP).
