Igbo Deportees Drag Lagos State Government To Court, demand ₦1b.



The 76 destitute people, who were deported by the Lagos State Government and dumped on the Upper Iweka Bridge, Onitsha, Anambra State on July 24, 2013, have dragged the Lagos State Government to a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos.

 7 of the deportees - Joseph Aniebonam, Osondu Mbuto, Osondu Agwu, Nnenna Ogbonna, Emily Okoroariri, Friday Ndukwe and Onyeka Ugwu filed the N1billion suit because the applicants, on behalf of the 76 others, while the Attorney-General of Lagos State and the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State would be the respondents.

Elrufai Facebook Friends Threaten Igbo, Say 'Leave North or We Kill You'




Facebook friends of controversial former FCT minister, Malam Nasir Elrufai, have descended heavily on the Igbo nation after a post by Elrufai which alleged that the proposed National Conference called for by President Jonathan in response to Nigerians call was a ploy to reach a "pre-determined agenda".

As the cliché goes, all this would have been laughable if it is not so tragic. In the heat of the subsisting venom and vitriol, it seems nobody now cares that the first set of “deportees” from Lagos were no other than Yoruba indigenes of Oyo and Osun states.

Sheikh Gumi Alerts Nation On Igbo Domination of Nigerian Army






Popular and respected Kaduna based Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Abubakar Gumi has alerted the nation to what he believes is an attempt by the current chief of army staff, Lt. Gen. Azubuike Ihejerika, to tilt the Nigerian Army towards Igbo domination. The Chief of Army Staff is of course an Igbo by tribe.

Though he provided no evidence, Sheikh Gumi published a letter he says is being circulated in the army which complains of the Igbo domination.
