Chidi Lloyd messed, cuffed like a common criminal and taken to unknown location, lawyer claims




Emenike Ebete, counsel to Rivers State Lawmaker, Chidi Lloyd, says he fears for his client’s life based on claims that the police have hidden him in an unknown location.

Ebete told Nigerian Telegraph that he wants the public to be watchful so that what happened in the case of the late Moshood Kashimawo Abiola did not repeat itself.
“In Abuja, they told us they were transporting him to Port Harcourt to charge him for conspiracy and didn’t say more than that. When we got to Port Harcourt, there were more than five hundred policemen waiting to escort him to the command office. From there, he was moved to the Police officers’ mess and handcuffed like a common criminal. Now I do not know where he is,” Ebete said.

Unknown Gunmen kill 15 people in Rukubi village in Nasarawa




The Nasarawa State Police Command said on Thursday that 15 people were killed when gunmen attacked Agatu settlement in Rukubi Village in Ekye Development Area of Lafia. The Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa, Umar Shehu, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Lafia that the village was attacked on Tuesday and that no arrest had been made.

PREMIUM TIMES had reported the attack on Tuesday with residents saying hundreds of houses, cars and motorcycles were also burnt by the attackers. Some residents had said on Wednesday that the casualty figure was about two dozen.

Unknown Gunmen Kill Younger Brother Of NNPC GMD In Kaduna



According to SaharaReporters, the younger brother of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Group Managing Director, Engr. Andrew La'ah Yakubu was gruesomely murdered by unknown gunmen in Kaduna this morning.
The gun men in conjunction with their collaborators reportedly trailed the GMD's younger brother from Kaduna town as he set off to Southern Kaduna to attend a funeral in Zangon Kataf local government area of the state.
The deceased was traveling with his wife and little girl before they were ambushed in the middle of the road around Kachia local government area, the fate of the other occupants in his car remains unknown.

Three Injured As Unknown Gunmen Attack Primary School In Kano



Gunmen riding on motorcycles on Tuesday morning struck at a primary school in Kumbotso Local Government of Kano state, wounding three staff members, the Kano Police high command have confirmed.  The gunmen were said to have struck Dan Maliki primary school between 9:30am and 10:00am while pupils were in their classrooms. Two teachers and the headmaster were wounded.
While the teachers have been treated and discharged, the police say the headmaster is still receiving medical attention.

Unknown Gunmen Kill Kano State MOPOL Commander



The Officer-in-Charge of Kano Mobile Police Force, Dahiru Ibrahim Majia, was Monday night shot dead by unknown gunmen at his private residence located at Sabo Gandu quarters of Kano State
The Public Relations officer of Kano Command, ASP Magaji Musa Majia confirmed the incident thus:  “I have lost my brother to gunmen at his private residence in Sabo Gandu this evening and we are making arrangement for the burial that will likely come up tomorrow (today)” an emotional Majia said.
The victim was the elder brother to the Kano Police Command image maker

Unknown gunmen shoot dead 73yr old white cap chief in his home



Unidentified gunmen yesterday Thursday February 7th shot dead a prominent Lagos white cap chief, 73 year old Onimole of Lagos, Chief Kayode Adeshina, at his Onimole Palace, Iga Iduganran Street, Isale Eko on the Island. Two gunmen were said to have scaled his fence at 3 am, robbed the home, and shot the chief dead after he told the gunmen he didn't have any money at home, according to people in the home. After the killing, the gunmen locked the chief up in his room and fled. The Onimole was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead. The chief's corpse has been deposited in the mortuary while the police are investigating the murder

Breaking News: Gen. Mohammed Shuwa Shot Dead by Unknown Gun Men




Ọmọ Oòdua has just received reports that retired Gen. Mohammed Shuwa has been shut dead by unknown gunmen at his residence in Maiduguri, Borno state which is at the heart of the insurgency driven by Boko Haram, the Islamic sect that wants to impose Shar'a law in Nigeria.

Mohammed Shuwa was a former Federal Commissioner for Works during military administration of General Olusegun Obasanjo, and until his death was a member of the Board of Trustees of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP).

Unknown gunmen attack and kill many residents of Yobe village

Unknown gunmen have attacked Dogon Kuka village in Yobe State, killing and injuring an unspecified number of people.

The gunmen invaded the village on Saturday, and started firing indiscriminately.
Two people died immediately, the Commissioner of Police, Yobe State Command, Patrick Egbuniwe, confirmed to Agence France Presse.

“A group of unknown gunmen stormed Dogon Kuka village and opened fire on residents. From all indications, they were on a shooting spree. From reports reaching us, some people might have been killed,” Egbuniwe told AFP.

The state police commissioner said he could not put a figure on the number of deaths.

“I don’t have details yet but we have deployed security personnel to the village to ascertain the nature and extent of the attack,” he said.

He declined to say if the attackers were members of the extremist Boko Haram, which has been blamed for a string of deadly attacks in several parts of Yobe State and neighbouring Borno State.
The village is about 70 kilometres (45 miles) from Damaturu, the state capital.
