Russia understands Syrian conflict a lot better than many Western states - expert



The Syrian opposition has turned into a criminal group whose leaders are interested only in profit from the ongoing war. That's according to Sunday Telegraph newpaper which published a report citing many rebel fighters saying that the FSA leaders don’t want to make the regime fall because they love the conflict.

Sending US cruise missile carriers to Syria coast to escalate conflict – Russian Defense Ministry




The sending of US Navy cruise missile carrying ships to the Syrian coast will escalate the conflict, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Oleg Dogayev said at a Public Chamber hearing on Tuesday.

Caught In The Act: US Secretary of State Kerry caught using fake photos to fuel Syrian conflict




Secretary of State John Kerry opened his speech Friday by describing the horrors victims of the chemical weapon attack suffered, including twitching, spasms and difficulty breathing. Attempting to drive the point home, Kerry referenced a photograph used by the BBC illustrating a child jumping over hundreds of dead bodies covered in white shrouds. The Secretary of State forgot to mention, however, that this photo was taken during US intervention in Iraq back in 2003.

Okorocha, Catholic Health practitioners At Conflict Over Abortion Law



Imo State governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, and Catholic Medical Practitioners Association are at daggers-drawn over the abortion bill the former just signed into law.
The law, among others, permits women to procure abortion at will. Sponsored by the Majority Leader and member representing Ahiazu Mbaise state constituency, Mrs. Adekunle Ihuoma, the law is to be cited as “Imo State of Nigeria, Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Law Number 12 of 2012”.

Benue/Ebonyi Communities’ Conflict: 15-year- old Boy Shot in the Head by Mercenaries



The communal conflict between Ngwo people of Ebonyi State and the Agilas in Ado local government area of Benue state, yesterday, left a 15-year-old JSS student of Government Secondary School, GSS Agila, Edwin Aboh, battling for his life after he was shot in the head by unknown assailants.
Saturday we gathered from sources that Aboh was shot on his way to school by his attackers who were suspected to be mercenaries from Ngwo. Our source confirmed that the student who was badly wounded and said to be in critical condition is presently receiving treatment at the Igumale General Hospital, headquarters of Ado local government council.
