Nigeria, Let's Not Abandon Our Missing Girls
A friend was sharing a joke with me yesterday. I was so amused but in the middle of my laughter, the thought of the 86 girls who are presently being held by Boko Haram popped up in my mind and I was surprised at how the amusement instantly gave way to a flood of guilt and pain.
What if those girls are being raped? What if some have already being killed? How is their state of mind? Imagine the horror they are facing and the scars that the eventual survivors will live with for the rest of their lives. Naturally, issues of violence against women and children tear at each nerve in my body and the pain I feel when they confront me is inexplicable. I felt myself bleeding as those questions banged at my heart.

“The Administration has also hired militia from all across especially North Africa who have been deceived into accepting to come because they were made to believe that they would be fighting infidels.”
Governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa State has accused the Federal Government of carrying out genocide against the people of Northern Nigeria.
The governor made the accusation in a memo titled “On-Going Full-Fledged Genocide in Northern Nigeria” which he sent to the northern states governors’ forum on April 16.
“While every State Government is doing everything possible using virtually all its resources to stem the tide of near disaster facing all of us especially in the North, it is a well-known fact that the present Federal administration has now become a government of impunity run by an evil-minded leadership for the advancement of corruption that is apparently enjoying the protection of the Federal administration,” Mr. Nyako said.

FG should use missing $20bn to provide electricity – Fashola
Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola has told the Federal Government to recover the missing $20bn and use the money to provide 20,000 megawatts of electricity.
Fashola said this on Thursday during the inauguration of Addo – Kekere, Lagbasa and Ajah Badore roads in the Eti-Osa Local Government Area.
The governor wondered why it was taking the Federal Government a long time to recover the money that could solve the problem of electricity permanently in the country.
He said, “If the Federal Government finds the missing $20bn, we will have constant power supply. I know that if we have $1bn, we will have 1,000 megawatts of electricity in the country. So $20bn is equivalent to 20,000 megawatts.”

Nyanya Bomb Blast: Perpetrators are pigs - Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor
Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has described the men who carried out the attack at Nyanya Motor Park on Monday as pigs, whose corpses ought to be fed to pigs once they die.
"I completely condemned the bomb attack on a motor park in Nyanya. This is very inhuman, ungodly and barbaric. I don’t even have the adjectives to describe what these mad people have done. As far as I am concerned, the perpetrators are not human beings and in my own opinion, when they finally die their corpses should be given to pigs because they are on the same level with pigs. How do you do this kind of thing to human beings? So definitely, they cannot be humans. It is so unfortunate. To make it worse, there are people who are sponsoring them. As the judgment of God comes upon them, the judgment will also come on those who are sponsoring them. Anybody who has given N1 to these people, whether they are local people or foreign financiers, the same judgment will come upon them and their children.” They will not escape it. So those are my words.” - Oritsejafor said in a statement released on Monday
