A man simply identified as Iku Monday by residents of Sabo area of Abeokuta, Ogun State, is still being quizzed by the police for allegedly beheading dead woman (names withheld) after exhuming her corpse from a grave in her husband’s building site.

Checks by Sunday Sun revealed that on August 18 this year, Mr. Abiodun, husband of Monday’s victim, contracted Monday to clear a plot of land belonging to him on the outskirts of Sabo for a fee.
On the site was a grave of his (Abiodun’s) second wife, who died recently of complications following delivery of her baby. Mr. Ibu took to his Facebook page to express his opinions, and called people who donate their last penny to fund the purchase of private jets, as ‘stupid’.

“STUPIDITY is when you don’t have a bicycle and you give your last penny to your pastor to buy a jet…….” he wrote.

“IGNORANCE is when you believe it when your pastor tells you not to live a worldly life, yet he enjoys all the best things in the world;the fine houses, cars, jets, babes etc, while you
are waiting till you get to heaven to enjoy your own….”
He ended his post with: “Stop worshiping your pastors!!! Stay focused on Jesus The author and finisher of your Faith. And learn to study the word .#Somebody shout halleluyahhhhhh”

It's Ok for Few Nigerian Pastors to Own Private Jet; Pastor Ashimolowo

The founder and Senior Pastor of the Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC), Matthew Ashimolowo has said clergymen who own private jets could be saving lots of monies for their congregations.
Speaking as a guest on Channels Television’s weekend programme, Sunrise, Pastor Ashimolowo accused the media of blowing out of proportion the recent acquisition of a private jet by a Nigerian pastor insisting that only few out of the myriads of clergy in the country own jets.

He said “Out of probably 20 million clergy, there may not be more than six" who own private jets. “There is a blowing out of proportion by the media because six people out of 20 million is not a large proportion.
"Then when you take those four or six individuals look at their itinerary and find out; is it even saving money for their organisation to have it or is it costing the organisation?” Pastor Ashimolowo pointed out.

Fish out perpetrators

Pastor David Sadiq, Royalpriestofjesus@yahoo.co.uk: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr once said that, “Through violence you may murder a murderer, but you can’t murder murder. Through violence you may murder a liar,  but you can’t establish truth. Through violence you may murder a hater,  but you can’t murder hate. Darkness cannot put out darkness. Only light can do that…”

The people that brutally and in such a inhumane manner, murdered the four university students in Aluu, Rivers State have done nothing to ward off evil but in their callous and barbaric jungle justice have demonstrated that they are nothing but harbingers of death.

Taking lives of fellow human beings in such a calculated coldness and alacrity can only confirm what the scripture says that in the end “the love of many shall wax cold.” Matthew 24:4-12.

A full inquest must be carried out by the Nigeria Police to bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice.

Let us all rise and pray for our youths that our tomorrow shall not plunge into dark oblivion.
