26-year-old Abuja Actress Jailed for Stealing IPad, IPhone and jewellery




A 26-year-old actress Nancy Ndukwe of Jikwoyi, Abuja, was sentenced by Abuja Senior Magistrates’ Court on September 6, 2013, Friday. She was convicted for two months of imprisonment for stealing an IPad, IPhone and jewellery.

Cpl. Paul Anigbo, on the side of the prosecution, told the court that the matter was reported at the Lugbe Police Station by one Faith Njoku of Kapuwa Village, Lugbe, Abuja on September 2.

The prosecutor told the court that Nancy Ndukwe visited her friend Njoku on the above-mentioned date and stole her IPad, IPhone and jewellery, all valued at N190,000.

A woman thought she bought an iPad at Walmart, until she opened the box, according to police reports.

A Virginia couple allegedly bought an iPad from Walmart only to find the box was filled with note pads.  According to a local television station, Mary Liz Bergstein of Midlothian said she was "through the wringer" after making the discovery and notified authorities.

When she opened the box in the morning, Bergstein said she found several yellow note pads stacked on top of each other. The note pad on the bottom was stuck at the bottom of the box.Bergstein said that police were called and a report was filed with her husband Jonathan who tried to return it to Walmart the next day.

SAD: Boy dies rather than give iPad to thieves




For many, a digital gadget offers a lifeline to explore a wider world. For some, it's a curse. A 15-year-old boy who refused to let go of his Apple iPad was dragged along a Las Vegas street and died after the potential thieves, driving an SUV, ran him over, police said. 
On Sunday, Metro Police in Las Vegas announced two arrests in the crime. The suspects, identified as Jacob Dismont, 18, and Michael Samuel Solid, 21, both of Las Vegas, face charges of open murder, robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.
The teen was identified as Marcos Vincente Arenas, 15, of Las Vegas. He was a freshman at Bonanza High School, officials with the Clark County School Distriannouncedct told the Las Vegas Sun.
