Taiye Taiwo Hit With €1 million Tax Fraud Charges; May Lose Mansion

Former Super Eagles left-back Taiye Taiwo has been hit with tax fraud charges of over 1 million Euros in France, and could lose his Marseille mansion. Anambra plans to shut down markets, companies over tax

The Anambra Government on Friday warned that it would shut down more markets and corporate organisations if their nonchalant attitude toward payment of their taxes did not change.
The state’s Chairman, Internal Revenue Services, Mr Nwanne Ejikeme, stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria  in Awka.  Ejikeme said, “We are also in the process of charging those who have refused to pay their taxes.

“Very soon you will see that it is not just markets that will be closed, but also business centres, chambers, banks and corporate organisations.   “Even residents, who refuse to pay their taxes will not be spared.”
According to him, the public ought to know that governance is not free of charge.
He said that many people were yet to realise that they had a contribution to make to the development of their states.

Unbelievable!!! Son Of Italian Anti-Fascist Tax Official Is A Favourite To Be Pope

Since the announcement by Pope Benedict XVI of his resignation on February 28, 2013, which about ten days from today, the church polity has continued heat up towards fierce politicking towards who becomes the next Pope.
Openly campaigning for the papacy, however, is not only taboo, but usually fatal. Most cardinals are of the belief that if someone actually wants the job, they have no idea what it’s about. But this belief does not erase the thick background politics.
On the other hand, sometimes circumstances align to thrust someone into the spotlight, creating an opportunity to either boost or diminish his electoral prospects, even if that’s not officially the purpose of what’s going on.
