Check out Photos of The World's Largest Living Cat (Liger)

With a name like Hercules, you know he's got to be big.But at 922 pounds, big is an understatement for the world's largest living cat, according to the 2014 Guinness Book of World Records.Hercules is a liger -- the hybrid offspring of a male lion and a tigress -- who lives at the Myrtle Beach Safari wildlife preserve in South Carolina. He is 131 inches long, and measures 49 inches tall at the shoulder. Ligers, which do not exist in the wild, can grow to twice the size of their parents and weigh about a hundred times more than the average house cat.

Common man In Nigeria is already living in hell; he cannot lose anything more than this hell.” - Sule Lamido

Nigeria will not break. It is too weak to break. Who will break it? The ordinary person in Jigawa or the ordinary person in Sokoto or the ordinary person in Bayelsa?  Is it the Ibo vulcaniser or the Yoruba woman that is selling kerosene by the roadside or the Okada man in Delta? They don’t have the capacity to unite because they are burdened by poverty.   We have taken away from them their dignity, their self esteem, their pride and self worth so that they cannot even organise. Up there, we (elite) unite, we sing and so we will never allow Nigeria to break because once it breaks, we will lose.

But the common man loses nothing. What is he losing? He is already living in hell; he cannot lose anything more than this hell.”

––Says Sule Lamido, Governor of Jigawa State

Living with fumes of death: More Nigerians dying from inhaling generator fumes

ARUKAINO UMUKORO writes that more Nigerians are dying from inhaling generator fumes even as the country’s energy sector is comatose
In the still of the night, it sneaked in quietly and lingered dangerously for hours. With every breath intake, the deadly gas known as carbon monoxide, found in fumes from generators as well as in car exhausts, sucked lives out of its hapless victims who were fast asleep. This was what happened on May 28, when Mrs. Chinyere Celestine, and four of her children were found dead in their home off Goodnews Street, in Azikoro suburb, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
They were said to have died in their sleep that night, while the generator was still on.
The father of the children and husband of Chinyere, identified as Celestine, who was said to be in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, when the tragedy occurred, had called a neighbour when he could not reach his wife on telephone the next day. After several attempts to wake the victims, the neighbour raised the alarm that compelled other neighbours to force the door open. They found the victims’ lifeless bodies.

Pictures: See The Couple That Has LITERALLY Been Living Under A Rock For The Past 30 Years

"I started coming here when I was 8 years old to visit the Candelilla (harvesting) fields, and I liked it here. I liked it and then I continued visiting every three to four months. I wasn't married and I didn't have a family yet, but I liked it and I had to keep coming to put my foot in (on the property) because lands here are won through claiming them," Hernandez told the Hernandez told the International Business Times,
The home, made of sun-dried bricks and cement, has a dirt floor, a wood stove, and no plumbing. Electrical service is said to be unreliable. A nearby stream supplies fresh drinking water. In winter, though, the water source freezes over. See Another Picture After The Break.
