Aduro: Victor Moses Parents Are Not Dead, They Are Alive In Edo State!

Victor Moses, who is having one of the best seasons of his life in football right now. Having moved from a relatively small football club in England, to one of the top 3 best in the UK & one of the best in Europe presently, in the shape of Chelsea FC of England. The young man contributed so well to his club achievements in only his first season there.

Not forgetting he was also fantastic in Nigeria's Nations Cup win in South Africa earlier this year. The gist currently going on about is that contrary to his claim to have lost his parents a few years ago to sectarian riots in the Northern parts of Nigeria (Kaduna State to be more precise). That claim might well be very farfetched and totally away from the truth. According to some reports, his parents are said to be hale & hearty, very alive in Edo State of Nigeria presently.

2 Students Reportedly Shot Dead During OOU Students Protest

Violence had rocked the Ago Iwoye campus of the Olabisi Onabanjo University on Monday. As early as 7.30 am, students had stormed the gates of the institution which they succeeded in locking. Only to reportedly have two students of the university shot dead with several others wounded following an ongoing protest about against some of the “anti-students policy” of the school’s management.

According to StreetJournal, some of the students revealed that one of the new policies stipulates that any student who does not pay school fees on time would not be allowed into the exam hall, which could mean an extra year for some.

Policemen were however on the scene not long after and arrests were reportedly made. Students claimed policemen opened fire on them and in minutes, the story was trending on Twitter, with the pictures above.

However, the police have denied that they shot students dead.
Mr Muyiwa Adejobi, the spokesman of the Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Police Force. Adejobi said:

They went violent this morning and some of our men were deployed to disperse them. The operation was led by a Deputy Commissioner and no live bullet was used so the issue of killing does not arise at all.”
They are just using the issue of killing to seek public sympathy. We don’t kill. That was the same thing they said when there was a crisis in Tai Solarin University of Education in Omu Ijebu, they said policemen killed four students. No one saw the bodies. That is what they always say to win public sympathy”.

How oil dealers used ‘dead’ vessel to dupe Nigeria of N1.5bn

Shocking details emerged, yesterday, of how four smart Nigerian oil dealers conspired and fleeced the nation of N1.5 billion in the name of supplying premium motor spirit (petrol) to the country.
The four suspects, Alhaji Saminu Rabiu, Jubril Rowaye, Alminur Resources Limited and Brila Energy, reportedly claimed to have used a vessel that had long been put out of circulation to ‘supply’ petrol to Nigeria under the scandalous fuel subsidy administration that made the nation to lose close to N2.3trillion in revenue in 2011.
But when the case against the four suspects opened, yesterday, at the Abuja High Court, an Economic and Financial Crimes Commission operative, confronted them with evidence that the so called ‘vessel’, which they claimed to have used in ‘supplying’ the fuel to Nigeria, was not in existence at the time they claimed it was used for transporting fuel to Nigeria.

Photos: 8 Perfectly Preserved Dead World Leaders You Can Visit

Traditions aren’t traditions if they’re not a little weird, right?
“We have decided to prepare the body of our “Comandante President,” to embalm it so that it remains open for all time for the people,” Venezuelan Vice President Nicolás Maduro declared on Thursday, in announcing plans to preserve Hugo Chávez’s body and showcase it in a glass tomb at a military museum near the presidential palace.
“Just like Ho Chi Minh. Just like Lenin. Just like Mao Zedong.”
In fact, it turns out Maduro was missing a few names. The practice of embalming national (mainly communist) leaders and boxing their bodies in glass for posterity may have gone out of vogue with the end of the Cold War, but Chávez still has distinguished company.
Here are the most notable members of the exclusive club:
