Ebola: Teachers Slam FG's decision to reopen schools, threathen to go on strike




The Nigerian Union of Teachers has threatened to go on strike if the Federal Government fails to put in place measures to protect its members and pupils from contracting the deadly Ebola Virus Disease before the   resumption of schools.But the Federal Government says there is no going back on the date since there is no scientific basis for schools to remain shut beyond the September 22 resumption date announced by the Minister of Education, Ibrahim Shekarau.

"I'll not fight for Al Qaeda in Syria"- US military revolt against Obama’s decision to 'support Al-Qaeda in Syria'



The military revolt against the Obama administration’s plan to launch a potentially disastrous attack on Syria is gathering pace, with both top brass and regular service members expressing their vehement opposition to the United States becoming entangled in the conflict. The backlash began to spread on social media yesterday with numerous members of the military posting photos of themselves holding up signs stating that they would refuse to fight on the same side as Al-Qaeda in Syria. Others have posted their photos on Twitter alongside the hashtag #IdidntJoin.

Smoking: A Life Or Death Decision




Yes! It is a life or death decision; I do not mean to scare anyone but only trying to help people choose life over death. The act of cigarette smoking is quite tempting; from the way the stick is held to the various skills and ‘swag’ displayed in puffing the smoke, one might need to be very health conscious not to yield to the temptation to try it.
Do you know that some people (mostly males) can be aroused by the sight of a smoker smoking (usually females). This is called the Smoking Fetish.

Virginity Test: Outrage Trails Govt’s Decision on Principal



The decision of the Ogun State Government on the Principal of Ajuwon Senior High School, Rev. Olufunke Aladeojobi, who allegedly conducted virginity tests on pupils of the school, has attracted public outrage.
The Commissioner for Education, Mr. Segun Odubela, had on Tuesday announced that the government would conduct a psychiatric examination on Aladejobi, adding that she would be sacked if she was found not to be of sound mind.The government, however, said it would demote her from grade level 16 to 15 if the test proved that she was sane.
