Thugs Cause Disruption At Redeemed Church Construction Site



Members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, who started construction a new 3-kilometre auditorium for the church at Agufoye village were chased away by a large group of over 40 armed thugs.   The trouble has started, it was gathered, when fraudsters obtained a survey plan and
invited land grabbers to claim a portion of the land which the Redeemed Christian Church of God had earlier bought for N215 million.


Two Ogun State Government receipts dated July 22nd and 29th, 2009, serve as the evidence for purchase.  The land was also allocated to the church for 99 years by the Ogun State Bureau of Lands and Survey, Abeokuta, in July 2009.

Nigerian Students Cause Damage In Moscow Embassy , faces Charges



Moscow, Russia -- Sixteen Nigerian students were arrested in Russia's capital, Moscow, for wreaking havoc inside Nigeria's embassy. The students were reportedly angered over financial issues. 

The sources within the inner ministry say the 16 students now face administrative charges for hooliganism. The is going to be transferred to a Moscow court for futher processing.

Since her death on February 14th, many insinuations have trailed popular Kennis Music artiste, Goldie Harvey with regards to the cause of her death. But the truth has finally been established.

Report following the autopsy carried out after her sudden death at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos revealed that Goldie didn't die of drug-related issues.
The Kennis Music star suffered a terminal ‘hypertensive heart disease’ which resulted to’ intracerebellar haemorrhage.’ The autopsy carried out February 19, was signed by Dr. O.O Oyewole of the Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine.

Goldie's Cause Of Death Revealed





According to sources from Reddington hospital, where Goldie died last night, the likely cause of her sudden death is pulmonary embolism.
According to an article on the New York Times website, “Life-threatening blood clots and flying have been linked for more than 50 years, but a new study of business travelers confirms the risk, particularly for those who take long flights or fly frequently.
“Immobility is considered a major factor behind the condition, called deep vein thrombosis.

See How Using Hands-Free While Driving Can Cause Blindness



We all know making phone calls while driving could distract a driver from his driving, and this has led to many road accidents in Nigeria. It is an offence therefore to put a phone to your ear to make or receive calls while driving, and Nigeria’s Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC doesn’t take the offence lightly. Drivers have therefore resulted to the use of handsfree while driving to ensure they are in line with road traffic laws.
A leading UAE psychologist has however said that the use of hands-free sets could lead to “attentional blindness” among drivers and many accidents.Dr Taha Amir, UAE University professor of psychology, said there is a “mistaken belief” that the use of hands-free mobile phones while driving reduces road mishaps compared to using handheld mobile phones.

The spat of high profile assassinations and rampant kidnappings laying siege over the many regions of the federal republic of Nigeria may have found a suitable loophole to continue its siege over the country owing to the maladministration of resources earmarked to the security agencies of the nation.
Information available to 247ureports.com obtained through competent sources within the State Security Services [SSS] revealed that the helicopter crash is being treated as a probable sabotage by the investigators of the crash. Akogun whose face and neck were seriously burnt, told his story to Sunday Sun: “It happened on November 11. My colleagues and I were hired by a church to slaughter a cow for a thanksgiving service. Five of us rode on motorbikes and as we were about to negotiate a bend around the Ipaja area, the keke maruwa (tricycle) rider suddenly appeared and we almost hit him. He got down from the tricycle, walked over to us and accused us of wanting to hit him.

Four men in Alimosho area of Lagos State are critically ill in a private hospital following an acid bath allegedly by a commercial tricycle operator. The victims, Jamiu Akogun, Wasiu Ismail, Basiru and another yet-to-be-identified man said the suspect (name withheld) attached to the Command unit of the tricycle union in Alagbado-Ijaiye area of Alimosho Local Government Council poured the corrosive liquid on them during a fight.

Bad spot causes gridlock on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway



A bad spot at NASFAT junction on the inward Lagos side of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway has been identified as the cause of daily gridlock on the busy highway.

The bad spot comprises some flooded potholes at the intersection and has reduced the inward Lagos side from two lanes to one.

An abandoned container, which fell off a truck some weeks ago, is also sitting at a conspicuous spot on the right side of the highway, a few metres from NASFAT Campground.

The gridlock usually stretches for over two kilometres from the intersection to Mowe junction, causing agony to road users.

Federal Road Safety Commission officials sometimes help to direct traffic at the bad spot.
