The recent series of bombings by the Boko Haram crew in Nigeria has cast a new layer of lack confidence in to the portfolio of the cynic's mind questioning whether the nation conceived in alliance can survive. I agree to disagree that it cannot. The preceding journeys that our founding fathers had ushered us around, can never be gone despite the fact that it's being distracted by the present. Our future is tied to their sweat, enduring labor. A nation that continue to lives colonialism, and civil war can endure ethnicism, and Boko Haram. Jonathan Moves To Reconcile With Obasanjo

President Goodluck Jonathan has begun moves to reconcile with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, as a means of ending the rift between them. Jonathan and Obasanjo had fallen apart over the last few months, following critical comments made by Obasanjo about the government. In a recent interview on Cable Network News, the former president criticised Jonathan’s handling of the Boko Haram insurgency and advised him to initiate a dialogue with the extremist sect.

Obasanjo told the CNN in the interview that Jonathan had been applying less of dialogue and more of force in solving the Boko Haram issue.

Iranian Judge: 24-Year-Old Man Sentenced "To 1 Million Years" Imprisonment For Child Pórnography

An Iranian judge yesterday sentenced a 24-year-old man to 1 million years imprisonment for possession of child pórnography. Mohammed Kenare was sentenced Wednesday morning by a local judge who in his ruling held that possession of child pornography (video) is an act that could only be committed by a despicable and satanic person and that he (Kenare) should be locked up "for as much years as the devil should be locked up".

Four men in Alimosho area of Lagos State are critically ill in a private hospital following an acid bath allegedly by a commercial tricycle operator. The victims, Jamiu Akogun, Wasiu Ismail, Basiru and another yet-to-be-identified man said the suspect (name withheld) attached to the Command unit of the tricycle union in Alagbado-Ijaiye area of Alimosho Local Government Council poured the corrosive liquid on them during a fight.
