A 28 year old man identified as Ahamehule Chukwu, a resident of Eliozu community, in Obio/ Akpor LGA of Rivers State has been arrested by officers of the Rivers State Police Command, for allegedly

murdering his 21-yearold girl friend identified as Ifeayinwa Ani.

The lifeless body of Ifeayinwa, who is reported to have been head over heels in love with her lover-turned-killer to the extent that she moved him with him even though they were not yet married, was discovered in front of the Eliozu Health Centre by the Chief Medical Officer of the centre, Dr. Ama Flag-Amachree, recently. The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended a 32-year-old man, Adigun Muda, in connection with some murders in the Mushin and Fadeyi areas of the state. He was arrested at South Africa Visa Application centre on Billingsway, Ikeja. According to police authorities, the suspect, who is also an alleged leader of Black Axe cult, has been linked to the killings of over 10 youths between 2010 and 2013. The suspect had, in the past, been declared wanted by the police, charged for murder and remanded at Ikoyi Prison for over a year but with the help of some influential members of his community, was able to obtain a motion for bail application and was released under controversial circumstances.

A mother shot and killed her two children and her husband before turning the gun on herself this week, according to police. Police say they found the body of suspected killer Angelica Vazquez, 43, and her three family members in their Texas home on Wednesday. The victims are identified as her husband, Marcelo Vazquez, 44, and her two kids, Paulina Vazquez, 21, and Alejandro Vazquez, 18.

A man allegedly fatally beat up his girlfriend after reportedly finding her in the company of another man in her bedroom, police have reported.

Police identified the woman as Maybe Last Dube. Police spokesperson said the incident happened on Sunday between 10pm and 11pm. He said Dube died at Gweru Provincial Hospital after her boyfriend, Garikai Mpofu (32), in a fit of rage, banged her head thrice against a stone.

"On the said date, it is alleged that Mpofu visited his girlfriend Dube at her house and failed to locate her. He later spotted her at the back of her bedroom with another lover. The other lover (whose name has not been given) fled the scene upon noticing that he had been spotted," said Police.

Residents were left shell-shocked last week after an 18-year-old mother killed her 20-month-old daughter and dumped the body in a storm drain before she went merry-making in the city of Dzivarasekwa, Zimbabwe.The suspect, Mellisa Makavani, was arrested on December 24 after she went to the Police Station claiming her baby had been murdered by unknown assailants.“On 23 December at about 5pm, the accused person tied her daughter on both hands and left her at a secluded area between two streets. Police in Kisumu, Kenya are looking for a middle aged man and house help as suspect in a murder case involving a dead woman. The woman was killed using a blunt object following a domestic row at Oboch market in Nyalenda. A witness said that they were called by the woman’s house help who had found the woman unconscious. The house help informed them that the couple had a fight at about 5 a.m. before the woman’s husband left.

The Bible student who confessed to killing a spiritual leader's wife revealed to a pastor he recorded the sexual assaults on his iPad, it emerged today, as the 23-year-old appeared in court.

Micah Moore, of Kansas City, was charged on Saturday with first-degree murder in the death of Bethany Ann Deaton, which was made to look like a suicide after a bottle of pills and a note were left by her body.
He appeared shackled in court today with his head bowed to hear the charges against him after he confessed to the October 30 murder on Friday.
