Australian Air Force Launches First Airstrikes Against IS Positions in Iraq





The Australian Air Force has launched its first airstrikes against Islamic State positions in Iraq, the country’s Defense Ministry said in a statement early on Thursday.
“Overnight the Australian Air Task Group operating in the Middle East attacked its first target in Iraq. Two bombs were dropped from an F/A-18F Super Hornet on to an ISIL facility,” the ministry said.

Australia sees 2 possible bits of missing Malaysian aircraft wreckage



Two pieces of wreckage that are possibly from the missing Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 - one estimated to be 78ft in size - have been found to the west of Australia, it was announced yesterday. The debris was spotted on satellite imagery and a total of four aircraft have been sent to investigate the sighting, some 1553 miles off the coast of Perth.

Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott announced the potential breakthrough to Parliament in Canberra Thursday, but warned the wreckage may not be from the missing flight.....

Australia celebrates Invasion, murder, ra*pe and theft day.




On This Day: Every January 26 is celebrated as Australia Day (previously known as Anniversary Day, Foundation Day, and ANA Day). The date commemorates the arrival of the British First Fleet at Sydney Cove in 1788 and the proclamation at that time of British sovereignty over the eastern seaboard of New Holland (part of present-day Australia). For Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, today is known as Invasion Day or Survival Day. It is a day filled with great pain for many Aboriginal people, and calls continue for Australia to stop recognizing the day British colonists landed and illegally claimed Australia as their own.

Scientists discover Gold Growing On Trees in Australia?



 
Their research, published in the journal Nature Communications, suggested plants were absorbing gold particles found around the soils of eucalyptus trees, Dr Lintern explained.
“The eucalypt acts as a hydraulic pump – its roots extend tens of metres in to the
ground and draft water containing the gold.

"Since the gold is likely to be toxic to the plant, it's moved to the leaves and branches where it could be released or shed to the ground.

“The leaves could be properly used in conjunction with other tools as a more cost effective and eco-friendly exploration technique.” Continue Reading..
