Lagos Charges Workers to be Dedicated to Work

Lagos State has charged newly recruited/deployed staff to different ministries to embrace dedication to work because this will enhance their performance in the service.

The Permanent secretary Ministry of Women affairs and Poverty alleviation, Mrs. Risikat Akiyode gave his admonition at the induction training ceremony of the new staff of the Ministry posted to the Ketu Special Home for the physically challenged children.

She said that the idea of the Induction/Training for the New members of staff was conceived last year after the trainees were posted to the Ministry, noting that this became necessary because some of them who may be coming from the private sector or having no working experience would needed to be intimated with public service rules and guidelines which are quite different from private sector guidelines.

The Permanent Secretary, advised the trainees to make judicious use of whatever they will be taught in the course of the training as this will enhance their performance in their different duty post.

The Participants are expected to be trained on different rules and regulations in the service like the Civil Service Rules, Financial Regulations and other service guidelines.
