Exchange Rate: Naira stays strong against dollar, Pound




Lagos – The Nigerian currency, the Naira, on Friday traded on a stable platform against two major international currencies, the dollar and the pound sterling, as transactions ended for the week.
The dollar and the pound sterling were sold at 155.72 and 170, respectively, at the official and bureau de change since Jan. 6.
At the black market, the Naira was exchanged for the dollar at 170, while the pound sterling went for 270.

'My son lied against Pastor Fireman" - Mom of virgin killer speaks



 2 days back you read that controversial Lagos pastor Fireman was nabbed by Lagos authorities on the alleged ritual murder of a 12 year old girl, Bose Ogoja, after the girl's killer, 18 year old Ikechukwu stated he killed her base on Pastor Sign Fireman's instructions . Mrs Esther Egbo informed reporters recently that they certainly were people of the Badagry part of Fireman's church and in the couple of years they have been in the church, they've never set eyes on the man. She claimed her boy have been caught four different  times by law enforcement for rape and had also been charged to court and was just released on December 10, 2013.

2014 PRESIDENTIAL PARDON LOADING: U.K to tranfer James Ibori and other 751 prisoners to Nigeria prisons



THE Federal Government, on Thursday, signed a Prisoners’ Transfer Agreement (PTA) with the United Kingdom for the transfer of James Ibori, a former governor of Delta State, alongside other 751 Nigerians in British prisons, to complete their jail terms in Nigeria.

Ibori, was sentenced to 13 years in prison for corruption and money laundering charges at the Southwark Crown Court 9 in London, in April 2012, and has been incarceration in the country.
However, the signing of the PTA by both countries signalled the fact that James Ibori and others would be repatriated to complete their jail terms in Nigeria without a choice.

Our source ran into a female this week who earns N7,000 monthly at restaurant in Surulere. She resume work by 8 in the morning and close at 8pm everyday, Monday to Saturday. She lives in Orile, meaning she pays transport to and from her house to work every day. She told our source that her boss gives her N200 each week as transport allowance. And she feels lucky!

US Teacher bags 38years For doing it With Her 12 Year Old Student



Former teacher Ethel Anderson, 31, (pictured above) was found guilty and sentenced to 38 years in prison in December 2013 for having s¤x with her 12 year old student.
The married mother of one had se ¤x with one of her students, whose identity is being kept secret because of his age (he was 12 at the time). The alleged abuse started in 2011 just one monthafter the teacher and the minor started a tutoring session in her home.

 Victims family confirm one of the women died after torture has now been confirmed that one of the ladies who was brutally tortured by some men in the Ejigbo area of Lagos in 2013 has died. The woman identified as Julie, was the older woman in the torture video. She was brought from her home town in Topa, Badagry to work as a canteen attendant. Watch the Channels TV report

Redeemer Uni. Student To Spend another Year For Missing Church Service





Redeemers University of Nigeria.
At RUN,they pay half a million every year for school fees.... a fee that most church members cannot even afford and some of the students who are there,their parents struggle to make sure their kids get the best of the four years they spend their,students in other Universities are rendered redundant because of the ASUU issue blah blah... ..so RUN it is for the majority.

Info reaching me indicates that a female student amongst others is/are to be punished by being sent to rehab because she/they missed going to church on Sunday!

Lagos Assembly to give ₦1.25million for information on tortured Ejigbo women



The Lagos State Assembly yesterday announced a N1.25million reward for anyone with useful informative data on the dastard act perpetuated on two women by some men in Ejigbo in 2013.

During a stakeholders meeting on this problem held at Alausa Secretariat yesterday, Mr Ajibola Adeyeye who's the Chairman Ad hoc committee create by the Assembly to investigate the incident announced the reward token.
"Anybody that gives information that leads to the arrest of the perpetrators of the heinous act shall be given N1 million. And I will add the sum of 250,000 from my private account to increase the sum to N1.25million" He said.
No leads have been made since the video surfaced on the internet a few months back. Lawmakers have commenced hearing on the case.

Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has told President Goodluck Jonathan that he would not resign on the ground that he allegedly leaked his letter on the unremitted $49.8 billion oil revenue to the Federation Account, THISDAY has reported.
The presidency is accusing Sanusi of leaking the memo he wrote to Mr. Jonathan to former President, Olusegun Obasanjo.

Reckless: Petrol Tanker somersaults, Eliminates 9, Destroys houses, Buses In Lagos



A Petrol tanker  fully laden  with 33,000 litres of  PMS on Tuesday, January 8, killed 9, burnt four houses and four commercial buses in Lagos. The incident occurred at cement bus stop, along mile 2 express  road, Apapa, Lagos. The tanker caught fire after it somersaulted. The Public Information Officer, National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA), Mr. Farinloye Ibrahim told our reporter that, the incident started at about 10:45pm yesterday night and the fire was create at about 1:04 a.m by the combined team of federal and state fire services.He said, "We've about nine  casualties. The fire later spread to four houses and four commercial buses all burnt down."

Lagos Police Officer Shot Driver & Passenger For Failing To Give Him Bribe [PICTURED]

A police officer in Lagos has been arrested and charged to court after he allegedly shot and innocent driver and his passenger.

Nelson Bassey, a corporal who has since been dismissed, is said to have injured one  Andrew Okoh and his passenger, Isaac Adesina, with his AK47 rifle due to their refusal to give him a  bribe.

Bassey initially claimed that the victims were armed robbers until the truth was discovered and he was apprehended and charged with the crime.
